“My family and I stopped at Trish’s Red Bird cafe on our way through to Kentucky from out of state. Immediately you could sense the kindness of the staff and could tell they truly wanted you to have a wonderful experience. My kids were given crayons and coloring mats and my littlest a little basket of toys that kept her entertained the entire meal (not something that ever happens). There were so many great options to choose from when it came to the menu and all of my children quickly found something they were excited to eat. (Again a rarity). My kids absolutely loved the cheese pull of the grilled cheese and the onion rings and the sauce they come with are amazing our favorite out of the meal. Everyone left happy and with full tummies. Before leaving my kiddos were given a little gift that they absolutely love and chalk to take with to make pictures in memory of a young woman (family/ niece to the owner) who left this world way too soon. My heart goes out to the families for their loss, what a beautiful way of honoring her memory. Thank you for treating my family like family. This is the first review I’ve ever written and it still doesn’t feel like it does this place justice. If you’re looking for a wonderful family friendly place to stop and eat you won’t be disappointed with this place their historic connections to the town, little shop inside, their support of other local businesses, and truly the most genuinely kind customer service I’ve experienced in today’s world.“

“Delicious food, nice atmosphere, and fantastic wait staff! (very attentive, but not hovering... perfect!) My Seafood Pasta was spicy & soooo good!! (I had to use a shot of lemon juice to keep my lips from burning, but I loved everything about it!! 😁😘) The strawberry margaritas were so good. “I've been by this place and heard nothing but good things about their burgers. So whilst in town on a college visit with my son, that would be Purdue University, we had some time to kill and decided today was the day. We didn't have to wait to long to go belly up to the counter and put our order in with Valarie. By the way she was a phenomenal waitress who was friendly and alway had our root beer topped off. This place was really crowded at lunch time and if you are one of those people who don't want to sit right next to a stranger then I recommend axing for an outdoor table. I had the Flash Gordon burger and this monstrosity was amazing. 4 burgers, bacon, grilled onion, cheese, jalapeno pepper and jalapeno catchup. I am leaving a picture that I took so you can gaze at that burger in all its glory before I commenced to put it away. My son, who isn't very adventurous had the grilled tenderloin, plain. He did say that it was good for what it's worth. But get yourself a burger because they all looked delicious. We will be consuming meals at this historic local again soon.“

“The Purdue Mellos ordered Breakfast for their recent pregame tailgate. 24 orders. Ordering in advance was super easy and the staff and management was super accommodating of vegetarian and allergy orders. So many options to choose from. Pick up no problem either as our order was ready and not one item wrong or missing. It is often hard to find a place to order so early as we had a 9 am start time. We highly recommend The Country Cafe... West Lafayette. We will be back again~“

“This place is now called Andies. The place is like a fusion of Waffle house and IHOP in a old diner setting. Classic setting. Reasonably priced and appears popular with locals. A must to visit and try their pancakes and other delicacy. Nice staff.“

“Ordered in my car down the street, drive up service. They brought my order out when I got there, so fast service. My first time eating here, passing through the area. 20-25 bucks got garlic cheese bread, pizza, and like 4 cookies. It was like small personal pan pizza size. It was all SUPER FIRE! Excellent flavor, taste, can't wait till I'm in the area again.

“My wife and I went here for our 34 year anniversary and Ky was our wonderful waitress , she was the best ever , she was attentive but not invasive to the point where we couldn’t enjoy our dinner. The steak she had was great , she loved the green beans , my prime rib was amazing cooked to perfection the au gratin potatoes were delicious we both enjoyed the table side salad that they made for us . Again with Ky can’t say enough about her service hopefully she will be there when we go back I will request her . 10 stars ⭐️ A+++“

“First time here. Got a cheesesteak on white bread with onion, shrooms, and banana peppers. Also got fries, and a lemonde. Fries were great. Cheesesteak was great. Hoagie was hot and fresh off the grill, and the bread was nice and toasty. One of the employees even came around and offered freshly baked cookies to the guests that were in the restaurant!“

“My wife and I went in randomly one day for an appetizer and some drinks and sat at the bar. The service was great and so were the drinks. Due to the service we decided to go back and try it for dinner last night. We sat at the bar again, the bar staff was awesome and very friendly. The entire staff honestly was nice. Even the customers at the bar were super friendly. The place is super clean and nothing in there looks cheap, the bar is nice, the chairs, even the tables look nice. We sat there for hours and the bar just seemed like the place to be on a Friday night! The menu is pretty big and has a great variety. Would definitely recommend to anyone. Thank you to the bartenders who have been nothing short of welcoming!“

“We eat here often. Always great food and service. Today, not so much. After waiting an extended period of time to be waited on by a gentlemen. We ordered drinks, was going to order an app but he took off. Brought back the drinks with the exception of my beer. After another 2 or 3 minutes while we watched our server clean tables and go in the back in the kitchen a few times we thought eventually he was on his way to get my beer. Nope around the corner on the other side wiping down tables. Decided to go across the street and spend my money. Could’ve been the end of the shift and he was pissed another table of 4 walked in at 1:20? Can’t expect great service every time. We will be back. At least the food has been great every time“

“Very nice open air setup with friendly service. It's tucked in a place where there is no other retail around, so could be hard to find when driving. You have to find the location on maps and then drive. Not much street signage.
One of local must visit place. Went for lunch, but I believe dinner may be more lively. Have outdoor seating.“

“Went in last Thursday and got sandwiches for my wife and I. The staff was friendly and asked us what we wanted and walked us through the menu. I was pleasantly surprised that they had grilled sandwiches and got the Chipotle Chicken cheese steak! It was great! Can not wait to go back!“

“1st time I came the food was AWESOME!. The hash browns and scrambled egg was perfect and a nice friendly young waitress. 2nd time completely disappointed. The scrambled egg was a plain omelet I had to cut up and dry as dry could be and the hash browns were not cooked, waitress was just ok, not real friendy and never came back to ask how food was. I may come back and if I do I see the 1st guy I will stay. I see the 2nd guy and I will walk out and head for BN because his cooking was just nasty! 💔“

“Sharma’s kitchen has become a staple for my family and I on Sunday. Out of all the Indian joints in town their chicken biryani is by far the best. We’ve never been disappointed.“

The portion was generous for both of us. The egg Benedict was the best one I have ever had in a while. We really appreciate whoever made it! “The pizza is really good here however it is slightly on the pricey side. I usually get the premium slice combo which is one pizza slice with two bread sticks and a drink for 11.50$. The pizza slice you get is large enough to make up for the price though. It's the size of a whole paper plate.“

“The food is good. People are very nice and friendly. However among all the food available, I have to say Baingan barta is always bad. It always has burnt smell and almost impossible to eat. I have added 2 times randomly to check maybe it was a one time issue. However its not! Im mainly writing this to inform the hotel management if they look at my comment, the chef should be notified and definitely changed.“
