I left and later realize that I didn't pay for my order so I returned and pay for everything I really enjoy the service and the people there. “I’ve been all over the U.S. and by far this is the best bar I ever been too mostly locals but great company would 10/10 recommend if you are stopped in the area, only downside they don’t serve food but if you get food nearby feel free to bring it with you but there are plenty of options nearby!!“

“Jovial Club is a true South Side gem. I swung by for a Friday night bite and had the ribeye steak sandwich with grilled onions and fries, with a couple of Old Styles. The steak was juicy, the fries crispy, and the vibe was just right. The horseshoe-shaped bar gives it a classic feel, and the staff made me feel like a regular. Definitely coming back for their next live music night.“

“We love Brewhouse and visit at least a couple times per month. They rotate their drink menu, there are always good local options (e.g., IPAs, Stouts, Lagers, Sours, Ciders), and they have a nice outdoor seating area that can be used during the warmer months. The bartenders are nice and playful and their food menu includes some clearly identified vegan options. They also have a couple of old arcade games you can play for free and have a bingo night, which is fun.“

“Great pizza, but dropped the ball with service on recent visit. This is one of our favorite places for pizza in the area, and we go there regularly. The food is always good, but today, we sat there for over 20 minutes without a single person stopping by to offer us water, offer to take our drink order or even just acknowledge our being there. It wasn’t even especially busy - most tables were empty. We gave up and went somewhere else.“

“A very clean bar. I didn't eat anything there or even know if they have a kitchen. The bartender was very nice and outgoing. The crowd was like an after work crowd. We were meeting friends there to go to a ball game. Had a great time, the time we were there. I would go again.“

“Sometimes the owner of uncle Bobby's bar will Grill some food. The atmosphere is very nice everybody knows each other a lot of active and retired fireman and policeman attend. Also a lot of Armed Force branches Services men and women attend this Bar. Very friendly place they also have a pool table a jukebox and a dart board, highly recommended“

“This bar is one of many on the stretch of Kennedy Ave north of 165th street and south of the highway. Truly one of the last of its kind and feels like a time capsule walking into it. Friendly staff and cheap drinks, along with pool and darts. Can’t ask for a better dive bar.“

“It the last BEST TAVERN around, a local watering hole! And actually a landmark building. They still have the rings where the cowboys tied there horses too....for a local find VERY friendly! “The joy I feel when I go to Home Plate Pub is indescribable! The bartenders are the friendliest and most efficient in all The Ville! The quality of the coke has gone down a bit, but the patrons that frequent Home Plate are some of the finest people that you’ll ever meet. The only other bar in Hessville that was FAR SUPERIOR the Home Plate was Brothers II, and sadly that fine establishment is no longer in business! RIP RON & SUE“
