“The Standard Taproom is an absolute NECESSITY for craft beer lovers! The large rotating craft beer selection means there is something for everyone. The bartenders are all extremely knowledgeable and (in my experience) will make it a personal quest to find something even my Grandpa likes. Every experience I have had at the Standard Taproom has been stellar.They don't have a kitchen but will gladly give you an excellent recommendation for a local spot that will deliver straight to your seat.The décor makes you feel at home, and they have several board games. It's a great place to bring a first date or a group of old friends! And the bathrooms are honestly one of the nicest public restrooms I have ever seen.Put The Standard Taproom on your list of places to go. You will NOT be disappointed!!“
“It the last BEST TAVERN around, a local watering hole! And actually a landmark building. They still have the rings where the cowboys tied there horses too....for a local find VERY friendly! “Love the neighborhood bar vibe. Came here often years ago. Seeing that I was in the area I stopped in. Great seeing Mary Lynn again, it's been too long. Everybody knows everybody kinda place. I chatted with Lauren Jo for a while. First time meetng her, had a lot of laughs. No lie she knows my friend in Whiting too. No surprise, small town stuff. I'm sure I'll be back next time I'm in the area.“
“Pretty cool little spot, drive by it hundreds of times. Stopped in for a quick drink, bartender was nice, very helpful and speedy, the crowd doesn't pick up till late but everyone was friendly and sociable. I'll be stopping by again that's for sure.“
“Really a hidden gem. Everything is excellent. Limited hours and limited days open are really the only downside here. I'd recommend making a reservation in advance, but they are very accommodating if they have room. Good value for the service and quality, but not "cheap". Had the surf and turf this time, and the lobster was great. Something on the menu for everyone.“
