I've been to Lalo's three times now. It's quickly become my favorite Mexican restaurant in Ft.Wayne. Casa Grande was my favorite, but now I prefer Lalo's. First time there, the service was good, food was okay, though not as hot as I would've liked, more lukewarm. However the second visit was better, food was hot and delicious. LALOS RESTAURANTE MEXICANO offers a large menu with quality food and great service. The menu includes many Mexican favorites and some American options like burgers. The autentico selections are particularly praised, with dishes like the Hurache Dos Margaritas being fantastic. Guests appreciate the delicious variety of Margaritas available. The staff made a birthday special by singing and giving a sombrero, and many visitors were impressed with the charro beans. Although the service can be a bit disorganized with multiple servers, all are accommodating. The portions are huge, with the Pollo Monterrey lunch providing plenty for leftovers. While the restaurant offers excellent food and service, some customers have expressed a desire for better seating arrangements, as they often find themselves near the kitchen or bathrooms even when the restaurant is not busy. Overall, it remains a really good local spot with excellent food and customer care.
