I recently moved to Fort Wayne from Arizona (where great Mexican cuisine is around every corner) and was pleasantly surprised to find a Mexican restaurant that I would recommend to friends back home. The mole sauce is truly a 'wow' experience; not for the uninitiated, but for those who know what mole is and are seeking the real deal, give this restaurant a try. Have already been back for a second visit, and found their green enchilada also very good. Even the chips and salsa are a superior flavor.“

“This is good authentic Mexican food. You can buy tamales by the dozen on some days. I live 45 minutes away and only visit Fort Wayne so often. Even if I am not able to eat in the restaurant, I stop in at the store. I pick up some their salsa, Tortillas, or tamales if they have some.“

“I haven't ate here in a few years. The salsa was spot on. Lots of flavor. Waitress was very patient and helpful as we 5 kids under the age of 9. She was very attentive and refills were brought. Everyone finished their food and left full. I always get the steak in chile verde. No Mexican restaurant comes near how tasteful the chile verde is ! Thank you mi parilla for the great experience.“

“To say that I'm impressed is an understatement. I've been seriously sleeping on this place! I decided to try them on my way to menards. I ordered the ribeye tacos and chips & salsa. They were full of flavor, the steak was very tender, and the chips & salsa are now my favorite in town. The salsa had deep flavor without being very spicy. There's no weird after taste like I find at a lot of Mexican restaurants. It is obvious that the ingredients they use are very fresh. The staff was very attentive and friendly. I'm grabbing some chips and salsa for home and I'll be back soon! I have lived in Fort Wayne my whole life and I can honestly say that I have found my new favorite Mexican restaurant in Fort Wayne.“

“The food was phenomenal! The flavor was unlike any other Mexican place in Fort Wayne. We tried the Jose’s Burrito which had pastor inside and I cannot recommend it enough. The staff were very friendly and made sure we were well taken care of. We were very impressed with our visit here and will definitely be back.“

“I’m from Texas so I’m pretty hardcore about my tacos and Mexican food. This is the most authentic street tacos (and like just general Mexican food) outside of a Texas food truck I’ve been able to find.

“I've been to Lalo's three times now. It's quickly become my favorite Mexican restaurant in Ft.Wayne. Casa Grande was my favorite, but now I prefer Lalo's. First time there, the service was good, food was okay, though not as hot as I would've liked, more lukewarm. However the second visit was better, food was hot and delicious. Ate there a third time a couple nights ago and food was hot and service was fast and friendly. I recommend the Lalo's burrito and the classic ground beef chimichanga, both come with delicious refried beans and rice. I love Lalo's~! Be advised though, Fridays and Saturdays are busy there. Best to go earlier in the week.“

“We were in for dinner and had a server that was newer. She was sweet and trying her best but Andrew is who stood out to us. We have had him as a server before and he’s always been amazing. He noticed we were waiting awhile to order, came over to check on us, took our order, and continued to check on us throughout our meal to make sure we were ok. He boxed up our food and got us chips and salsa to go without us asking. Great atmosphere and teamwork from the staff!!“

My wife (who is from Mexico 🇲🇽) loves this place and I can light up her face with just asking if she wants to come to El Amish!! She loves the beef tongue pork and bbq. Every type of flavor they have is amazing she says. Myself, I get the marinade pork cuz I have always enjoyed it. They add a sautéed onion with the food and 4 sauces and more than enough for us. “I’m a trucker and I have been craving a burrito (specifically from a taco truck) but those are hard to find here. Found this place and I must say, MY BURRITO WAS ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! Only thing they can do better is giving a little Radish, Cucumber, onions pr jalapeno on the side and a bigger (or more) salsa on the side. The other stuff I have on my own💕“

Sometimes there is no work so do not wait til the last min to order masa or pick ur order up. “Had dinner here with a couple friends last weekend and it was pretty good overall. The chips and salsa came out quick and were fresh, and I really liked the flavor of the chicken fajitas. The portion sizes were fair for the price, and everything came out hot. Service was friendly even though the place was kinda busy, so that was nice. The margarita I got could’ve been a bit stronger but still tasted good. Not the best Mexican food I’ve ever had, but definitely worth going back once in a while.“
