“Stopped for lunch today. My Boyfriend and I shared the green goddess salad, crab hush puppies, and the chicken sandwich. Aside from the decor being lovely and the bar/restaurant being super clean, the food and service was spectacular! Lily, our server, was extraordinarily polite and helpful with our questions. She was kind enough to ask the kitchen to split our order ahead of time which was much appreciated. The green goddess salad and chicken sandwich were amongst the best we have ever had. Looking forward to checking out their brunch while we are in town.“

I decided to try the lobster tail this time and when I was driving home I felt extremely sick to my stomach. I ended up very sick for two days! I'm not certain but I think the lobster was bad. The sauce tasted like it came out of a ravioli can. I can’t imagine serving that sauce. Another customer overheard our conversation and they both stated that they stopped eating the pizza because of the poor quality of the sauce. Highly disappointed“

“This food was so good and there sure was a lot of it!! I was stuffed by the time we left. They time out your apps and entree but we were in a rush trying to get to Indy so just asked for quicker service which was accommodated.

The menu is super unique- it’s literally a heavy cleaver. Crazy for a first date but fun and interesting for a family dinner.

Crab cakes were clearly fresh and 100% crab meat. Large enough for 4 people to each get their own and feel satisfied.

Salad bar— I personally should’ve gone for the soup. I just don’t love a salad bar post-covid. But they did have caviar and lots of more typical salad bar toppings available. Classic Midwest salad bar.

Main course — The special today was a crusted halibut with lobster bisque. My friend I was with said it was the best he’s ever had and he has high standards for seafood. I think it was poached in butter. Genuinely so good and rich! I couldn’t finish my portion.

I’d visit again and try some dessert. Pricey but worth it for great service and food quality!“

“Easily one of my favorite restaurants in the country. I have dined there numerous times in the past years and their standard menu is always top notch. I visited with my wife last night for the Mardi Gras themed menu and the service was more than adequate, as always. We even got to chat with Tony for a minute. If you like a cozy, casual, and friendly atmosphere mixed with seafood, spirits, and a little bit of Ft. Wayne history, give The Oyster Bar a try.“

“I just had my first visit to Bru Burger Bar in Fort Wayne, and it was fantastic! They welcomed me right away super kind and professional. The menu had plenty of great options, but I went with “The Beginning,” a classic burger. It was cooked perfectly, super tasty, and even the fries were awesome. Their house sauce was sweet and delicious it was a nice bonus. The place itself is stylish, with funky designs on the walls, and the whole staff was on point/attentive, professional, and always one step ahead. I never had to ask for a thing! Dinner for three adults and one toddler was just barely over $31.00 you can't get that much fantastic food at this price anywhere else. We all agreed this is our new go to place.“

“Where to begin here… this place is nothing short of amazing.

We came here a month ago to try their half rack, coleslaw and mac and cheese to see how they sized up with some other cities establishments. We can say they delivered in several ways:

The rub and their traditional barbecue sauce were fantastic with flavors that weren’t overpowering the meat, harmonizing in ways only a few places can. The meat was extremely tender, fell off the bone with little effort and extremely juicy.

The coleslaw was a good mayo based coleslaw with great sized cuts. The mac and cheese was okay but it did a great job adding smoky flavors to the overall theme of the dish.

Their sauce variety was fantastic. We strongly recommend the raspberry chipotle vinaigrette if you prefer a good vinegar base sauce!“
