12 Best American Restaurants in Franklin

“My wife and I like to try different mom and pop places and had yet to try this restaurant for breakfast. We made a good choice with the Court Street Café.
When we walked in, we noticed it was a little small, but we were seated right away. Our server was over a moment or two later and took our drink order. When she returned, we each ordered the Farmer's Breakfast, and I got an extra side of home fries (one of my vices).
Looking around, it was apparent that the owners put some effort into keeping a small-town vibe in here - nothing too extravagant and nice decor (we really like the ceiling fans). It is a nicely appointed restaurant!
Our food came out a short time later, and it was tasty. The eggs were perfectly sunny-side up and the biscuits and gravy were just the right amount of spicy. The pancake was fluffy and the home fries were a little mushy, but that is probably just how they do them. Seeing as how we got the same food, my wife's order was greatly appreciated as well, as she had nothing but compliments too.

“The tenderloin won best tenderloin in Indiana one year. I've had it and it is incredible. It's very soft and never tough or chewy. I think they must pound the heck out of it before breading. The breading is golden brown and crispy. The servers there are always sweet and make you feel appreciated and act like they love their jobs. A fantastic experience every time we go.“

“This place is awesome! Great vibes, great food, great drinks. I'm normally plain as can be (burger, only mustard.) Mikey recommended the Hard Truth Whiskey burger and it was life changing. “I only recommend this place because of the cook Jeff. He walked in and did more work in 10 minutes then all of the other staff combined! Put him in charge of that place! The manager only cared about testing the staff on the menu when she should have cared about clearing the tables for the next customers.“
