“Delightful venue and truly professional servers! Nice drink menu and the food menu is very creative. The cashew/honey baked Brie appetizer is super. Our whole experience was wonderful, except for one little thing...no, I take that back - overcooking a nice piece of fish is a big thing. Maybe just don't order the fish if that is their standard. Overall, recommended.“

“Country Diner is a real gem. Great home cooked food from 6am to 1:30pm. The hand breaded tenderloin sandwich was large and meaty. Daily specials like beef manhattan, beans ham cornbread with fried potatoes, chicken and noodles, and great breakfast choices. Plenty of parking with room for semi's and right off the highway. Typically very busy, we arrived at 12:45 and had excellent service.“
“A couple of years ago some coworkers told me that if I was ever in shelbyville to go to Westside Pub. Fast forward to today, finally made my way to the location and it's now Whiskey Johns -- a smoke free and recently updated dive bar with still exceptional bar food and a really awesome bartender. We bellied up to the bar for food and drinks but ended up sitting and talking to locals and the bartender for over an hour. We came midafternoon and beat the rush. All of the tables were reserved tonight (!). The Cadillac wings, fish and spicy cheese cubes all were very good and we look forward to coming back again!“
“Saw that this place was on the list as one of the ten best chicken places in Indiana. We decided to road trip here just to find out. It did not disappoint. The chicken is cooked fresh after you order so dont be in a big hurry. Everything came out piping hot and was delicious. The service here was outstanding. This restaurant is very clean and well kept. It is very easy to find using Google Maps. There is plenty of free parking around the building.“

“I am frequently at this cafe especially on Sundays. They have a buffet that well small offers plenty of choices to have a delicious meal. Excellent fried chicken! The atmosphere is very friendly and accommodating. The place is clean. It is small so if it is crowded it's sometimes difficult to get a seat but if you're there on a non-rush time it is not a problem at all.“
“3 of us arrived at 6 a.m. 12/24/23. One table left , "Ski" as they called him, greeted us at the table and turned us over to the best possible waitress anyone could have! Susan had been with the company 39 years and just lost a husband with similar time at this location. What a genuinely nice lady who was responsive to our needs, far exceeding our expectations. The entire staff stayed busy and the place operated like a well oiled machine, no pun intended. Everything was on point and exactly how it should be. When we walked out the door to leave , yet another employee giving us fare wells and cleaning the lot at the same time. Thank you Ski, Susan and the others , corporate should use you guys as an example of how things should be done. Our society needs this level of customer service everywhere. Thanks again.“

He was kind, attentive, had a positive attitude, and very knowledgeable. You could tell he truly took pride in his work. Workers like this unfortunately often go unnoticed. “I was in Shelbyville and yelped breweries near me. I got a hit for Twisted Spoke Brewery. The info said it was in the CrossTown Bar and Grill. I showed up and there's no brewery! However, it's a great local dive bar! I love a good local bar with great food. I had a bowl of their chili, with cheese, onion and jalapeños- awesome! I had fried pickles - Pretty good. But great ambiance and vibe. They allow smoking, which I don't love, but can tolerate.“
“First visit to The Lucky 7 Café. I was so pleased with the owner's generosity in donating warm meals to our city's homeless population that I wanted to come support this local restaurant. Food was delicious. Tater tots were surprisingly amazing! Perfect small town spot to get a home cooked meal without breaking the bank. I can't wait to come back!“
