Not usually very crowded, so you can get quick drink service.Don’t order the bruschetta... It was a soup of balsamic with a handful of tomato chunks thrown in. The non-vegetarian options looked decent, though. I definitely view this place as more of a drinking bar to chill at than a restaurant, but my menu options were pretty limited (so it might be better for meat eaters).Staff is nice and remembers the regulars. “The Grove just recently reopened under new ownership and we stopped in to play pool and have a couple beers. We ended up having a few buckets and shots. Then the band Rocking Horse began. They sounded very good. I seen them back in the mid nineties. We danced and had a great time. We didn't eat...this time but we will go back and eat then. In the past the food was really good. This was our first time checking out the place since we kept driving by it. Some aspects of the interior looked dated, but small pubs can be like that so we didn't feel put off. We were there for Thursday night dinner, and there was plenty of seating when we arrived and got busier during our time there.

? Burgers were BIG and served hot, really tasty. Server also kept our drinks refilled!

We also tried a half pound of the fried chicken liver appetizer and asked for honey mustard dipping sauce for it. Good if you like liver as the breading is seasoned well and has a hard crunch!

We also tried the potato skins but those were a bit disappointing. Cheese was not all melted and instead of crispy skins, it was more accurately baked, mini half potatoes.

Overall it was a decent time. I can see it being a spot for locals if you enjoy a casual place to drink and chill.

Parking: There is a large parking lot for the plaza but it can get busy during peak times due to the many businesses there. You will always be able to find a spot to park but it might not always be close.

Kid-friendliness: 21+ this is a bar for adults

“I love coming to HI-FI for any and every type of show. The room is spacious enough, yet still feels intimate. The bartenders are always really nice as well!

Side note: Loved that HI-FI participated in Tonic Ball (huge annual benefit show for Second Helpings and feeding our Indy community) this year and so many years past. Last night at Tonic Ball felt like a positive gathering of community! Maciann was fantastic covering Green Day for Tonic Ball.“

“This place is pretty inside with fast bar service, lots of wood, and a Jesus with glowing eyes. Went to see a band and the bar contained statistically improbable number of dudes in unscuffed boots with cop mustaches. Unsure if this is the norm or if it was because of the band.

I wanted to try the vegan wings, but it was standing room only. Layout wasn't really condusive to being out of the way with your back to a wall, so watch out for that if you're neurodivergent or have the ptsd. You can still hear the band while sitting on the side of the front porch, but avoid the poison ivy.

Bummed this place is closing, will have to go back before Nov 22.“

“This place was OK. The waitress was grabby within our cups to fill them and we had to complain to the owner that she grabbed are glasses out of our hands. And he defended her saying it was her 2nd day on the job working. But didn't say a word to her for her to come and apologize to us. Won't go back there.“

We played pool upstairs and it was only 5 bucks for 1 hour! It was such a vintage little spot. We decided to eat at the bar and I had the best sampler of life!
