“This is my most favorite restaurant. The food is ALWAYS delicious. The owners are ALWAYS pleasant and welcoming. The restaurant is ALWAYS clean, and that is a big plus. Their orders are very fulfilling. I've also never received a wrong order. They absolutely care about their patrons, and that means a great deal. I live in Chicago, and have a Chinese food restaurant in walking distance from my residence, but I come here, and I wouldn't dare go anywhere else“

This place is an absolute gem. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm, attentive service and the irresistible aroma of authentic Chinese cooking. Every dish we tried was bursting with flavor—perfectly balanced, fresh, and clearly made with care. The portions are generous, the ingredients are high quality, and everything arrived hot and beautifully presented. Whether you’re dining in or taking out, this restaurant consistently delivers excellence. Easily one of the best Chinese restaurants around—highly recommend and can’t wait to come back! Bonus they gave us a flight of desert cakes ! Obvious the coffee one was my favorite !“

“We love this place! We place our order and then magically, 10 minutes later it appears on our doorstep! Ok, maybe not 10 minutes, but it’s always super quick, still hot, packaged well, and they include lots of sauce, fortune cookies, etc. Our favorite place for Chinese food.“

“Service is still great … but when closed then reopened, the quality of the food is now NOTICEABLY DIFFERENT (worse). Different chef, perhaps? Not sure what I mentioned it because I always order the same thing chicken with black bean and garlic sauce. The last two times I ordered it after they reopened they used dark meat and it was always always always white meat chicken. Also, the sauce is different. Something’s changed, but I’m just not sure what. It’s still my favorite Chinese restaurant in the south suburbs but they can do better. I say that because they’ve been better.“

“How about you take a seat and let me tell you a little bit about this place. A few weeks back the lady and I wanted some noodles and Crab Rangoon’s. So, headed over to CG to acquire the best in town. Upon arrival, we were greeted in the politest fashion. I had a beer or two in me when ordering, so I was a lot to deal with. They worked with us to configure the best take out order ever assembled. That’s not all. During this adventure, I left my phone sitting on a chair I was waiting in. I realized it once I got home, so I headed back to the store to pick it up before close. But to my dismay, I was far too late. They were closed! This was a Sunday evening, and they had already put their heart and souls into making great meals for us patrons all week, so I didn’t blame them for closing up shop for the week after their encounter with me. My phone was sitting there, locked safely inside the store. But because I live and work on that phone, I had to go into recovery mode. I did some digging and found a phone number to call and see if anyone who had a key to the store could meet me on a Monday, WHEN THEY ARE CLOSED FOR THE DAY MIND YOU! And sure enough they did. They met me at the store, handed me my phone and REFUSED the $20 I was offering for the help (should’ve offered more, I realize that now). Long story short, this place rules, the people are great, and we will be going back tonight. 10 out of 10!“

“C & J has the best mixed vegetables, fried rice, egg rolls, & sesame chicken. & you can get a meal for a reasonable price. My mother introduced me to this place when I was a little girl. She would get the sweet & sour chicken w/ eggrolls to share with me. Now I've introduced my child to C& J. It still tastes the same. 10/10!“

“I would’ve gave them 5 stars because the food is great and the service was great too. However, I ordered Shrimp fried rice and they add beef and chicken to it. I had to pick the chicken and beef out of my fried rice while eating it. Other than that everything was good. Best Chinese food I’ve had in a long while. Now I know to check my order before I leave the restaurant.“

“Since I moved from Illinois I have not found a good Chinese food place until yesterday when I ordered at this place. They are #1 for sure! I ordered the combination fried rice and requested it spicy. It had so much meat in it. Every bite was meat full. And the rice was on point great flavor and delicious. Definitely will order again to see if this was real lol. The food was delicious!!“

“I gotta say, fortune house is definitely a strong choice when one is seeking out Chinese style cuisine in the area. Decided to order takeout for an easy dinner and I was quite pleased with the food! Ordered the beef fried rice with a side of pork potstickers. Came out to $18, about what I expected. The fried rice was savory and full of seasonings with tender beef. The potstickers were juicy and crispy which I appreciated. This restaurant is always busy though, so be prepared for a hectic lobby when you walk in hahaha. Overall, a solid choice for a Chinese takeout/dine in spot in the area.“

“Food was wonderful and the lady behind the counter was super nice. I was over an hour late picking up my order because of unforeseen delays, and she made sure that everything was hot when I got there. They definitely prefer cash which is understandable seeing as credit cards charge them money. I'll be back. Food was incredible.“

“We live right down the street so this is spot is near and dear. I just got the lunch special general tso and lemon fish and they were excellent. The fish was so gooood. Egg roll and rice were spot on too. My husband took a picture of the Teamsters Local 710 sticker on their door. He is in 710 and a truck driver for UPS. Thank you for supporting us and we are happy to support you.“

“I’ve ate here on and off since 2013. I never had a problem, I love their food especially the steamed dumplings and the sauce is perfect not extremely spicy. I love their combo meals as well. Only problem I’ve had was one time they added on to my order that I didn’t want. Other than that good food.“
