“How's be a generous when I gave this place for stars? One thing that I'm trying to understand because I'm a older person. How old is gentleman is all of the changes where I'm getting food? And don't seem like I'm getting what I'm paying for my money's worth in certain foods that you have on display. On your calendar, what is this $50 extras that some type of gratuity or some kind of tip that is being exti. Moved, is it OK if we add another $50 to what we have given you? I told him it was O k, but is it OK if you give me a little more than what you gave me and earned whatever extra gratuity that you are asking people for when a order specific? Items on your menu night disturb or the steak. Or it's up another item they're dead. They say oh well. This one is a extra $50 or some kind of gratuity. A really don't know what it is. But I just went along with it this time. I'll be going back to try again. And they will definitely have to explain that to me. I mean, I don't mind tipping. No cause I'm in control of the tip. I get tips at work. And I like to reciprocate, but on my own terms and not on the restaurants terms. Thank you Upgrade day“

“I am so glad they were able to reopen. Due to the passing of the previous owner last year, they closed their doors. My husband and I had just discovered them and was so excited to find a Chinese restaurant we truly enjoy. The very next day January 1st 2024, they announced their closure ( we get Chinese New Years Eve and we got it from here). THANK YOU for reopening and serving the surrounding community....I'm from Indiana. We love your food!“

“This place is wonderful. I got the curry chicken, jumbo shrimp fried rice and egg rolls. Yummo .. plus last Christmas we did the Christmas Story and ordered lots of different foods. That was the best. So this year I'll be ordering food again for Christmas. Delicious ???
Vegetarian options: Just state vegetarian. Do not add any meat.
Kid-friendliness: Always has a smile. Even when the room is packed“

“I meant to take pictures of the actual meals but we were excited to eat lol. Those are just the pot stickers which were very tasty. They have a bar on one side, video gaming downstairs, hibachi grill on another side (might only be certain days). You can fit like 10 people in their giant booths and food was delicious. They bring out giant portions and even brought us tea. I will definitely be going back. Will add more pictures next time.“

“I was in the neighborhood, so I decided to try this place for their lunch special. It comes with shrimp fried rice, combination egg roll, and a few options for a main dish. I ordered the Mongolian beef. It was tasty, tender, and a bit spicy. The food was fresh and delicious. However, I do wish they had shrimp egg rolls as I’m not a fan of the combination egg rolls. Nonetheless, I enjoyed everything for just under $10. I will definitely go again when in this area.“

“My favorite Chinese restaurant and the most authentic in the suburbs. Our favorite dishes are the roast duck and double pan fried noodles which is the closest I've been able to find to my grandma's Cantonese cake noodles in all of Chicagoland.“

“They have very good Chinese food compared to some we have eaten at. We had broccoli chicken with chicken fried rice and egg drop soup. It was very goodFYI: If you like your food very spicy, they will honor your request. We like ours real spicy, so I ask for it to be 3 times Xtra spicy for the main course and even the fried rice, and they will do they for you. We've gone to many Chinese restaurants throughout Chicago, and we like them. We've gone neck because it's close to where we live.
Parking: It's next to Pizza Hut. The parking lot is small, but there is extra parking by the Pizza Hut.“

“I don't want to lie. Their food was the worst Chinese food I've ever eaten. The egg Foo Young was slightly spoiled bean sprouts were not fluid fresh more like celery sitting out month. Yuck. Who told them they can cook. Ooh yea and you can forget about coming back cause I got that secret nobody says on Chinese channels about the five spices. Thanks for dropping my money off for some food from trash.“

“Been going here since 1994. They were the best for a long time. Then something changed. For at least the last 15 years the food just doesn't taste that good. Keep going back every once n awhile to give another chance, but it's just not good. This will probably be the last time going here. It's a shame. They used to be sooo good! When everyone loved Lang Lee in Orland, I told them Dragon Palace blows them out of the water, way better.“

“Went here with a friend, they were just about to close up but the gentleman behind the counter agreed to make some food for us. I appreciate that greatly. Next time I may dine inside. I had Mongolian beef, I asked him if it was spicy and he said yes, but he said he could make it with less spice so I went with that. That was really good. My friend had chow mein with chicken and shrimp it look like. That was very good also. Also they have several flavors of smoothie. I had the banana one, and it was excellent. All in all, a great place to stop if you're in the Crestwood and Alsip area.“

“Bamboo garden is a hidden gem inside of a first I almost passed it by well, I'm glad I didn't. This place has been a local gem ever since Number One Chop Suey in Oak Forest closed this is. My new go-to for Chinese food. I had the chicken walnut dinner spicy and my friend had beef. Broccoli, both dishes were very good. The restaurant itself was clean. However, they did seem a bit unexpectedly short-staffed for our visit. I would go back. I would recommend it to local friends.“

Never a disappointment in the 15+ years I’ve been visiting. This is diamond in the rough, if ever there has been one. I truly cannot say enough about this establishment. 10/10!“

“Will always be my number #1 chinese spot when I come home because every state I've been to does not have anything that gives me quality besides Indianapolis, so it's a hole in the wall and extremely outdated but still going strong.“

“I would’ve gave them 5 stars because the food is great and the service was great too. However, I ordered Shrimp fried rice and they add beef and chicken to it. I had to pick the chicken and beef out of my fried rice while eating it. Other than that everything was good. Best Chinese food I’ve had in a long while. Now I know to check my order before I leave the restaurant.“

“I order from this spot all the time for delivery. Ordering over the phone is easy and quick, delivery is even quicker. I'm a big fan of the lunch specials and recently tried the pepper steak and shrimp in lobster sauce. This is a great easy takeout option with really good portions. Also, their smoothies are really fresh.“

“The food is legit. I get the beef fried rice, extra spicy with a large shrimp and lobster sauce. The shrimp and lobster sauce is the darker sauce so it’s a good one. They told me 25 minutes but it took about 35 minutes for the food which was fine because it came out piping hot. I’m waiting in my car and the woman brought it out to me. This is my go to Chinese food place even though it’s about 20 minutes from my house.
Parking: There are handicap, parking spots immediately outside the front door of the restaurant“

“5 stars to a "generic Chinese food restaurant"? Am I crazy? Is this some secret haute cuisine spot hidden in plain sight?Naw.But I'll say this: Eat Rice has served my family meals for the better part of 5+ years (if not more). The prices are fair, the portions are large, and the quality is always as desired. The menu is traditional American/Chinese fare: egg rolls and other fried apps, soups, and pork/beef/shrimp dishes abound. The staff is friendly and efficient. There's parking across the street. And you get almond cookies in your bag if you order as much as we do. LOL.“
