“Pretty Good! I had the Singapore Noodles and Crab Rangoon. I really liked the veggies in the noodles, however it wasn't alot of chicken and shrimp throughout. Also ordered beef fried rice. 3 items..$37.00. They are a bit pricey! Definitely have a lot of leftovers.“

“Ordered the original Yao Yao fish, cucumber salad, and fried chicken wings with twist dough sticks.
The Yao Yao fish was delicious with huge portions sizes. We added enoki mushrooms, bean curd, and glass noodles. It can be very salty, so definitely pair it with rice.
I was disappointed by the fried chicken wings though. They were very skinny, all bones and no meat. We will not order that again.“

“I placed a delivery order but realized I entered the wrong address when the delivery driver was at a different location than my hotel. The restaurant took the time to give me Uber Eats phone number so that I could contact them to get my delivery address fixed. They could’ve brushed me off but didn’t so I was glad to get the food I ordered.“

“Man this place is in my top 10 in the city. The friendly staff the small cozy interior and service is great for a small hole in the wall. But that come in second when compared to their elixir of gods, the beef noodle soup. I like to come here a lot… a little too much if I’m being honest. I would come here everyday if possible. My girlfriend and I always get the beef noodle soup with brisket and dumplings. I get the spicy version. And man oh man is this place slept on. The soup base is savory and deep. The brisket slices tender, noodles cooked to perfection with a nice aaldente yet springing bite. The nice chilies I get with mine just add to what is a masterpiece. If I’m not mistaken this a Taiwanese beef noodle soup. And it gives ramen a run for its money. Highly recommend this place. My only hope is if I ask the owner nicely if they can cater my wedding lol.“

“Another great experience at one of my favorite restaurant. PF Chang's restaurants are amazing. The PF Chang's lettuce wraps are the best in the world. The small sweet butter lettuce is perfect. Make sure you stop and see Dennis who's an amazing server.

“I was taken back to my college days in China, eating lamb skewers and baked flat bread at a street food stall. This is high praise, since I remember the time fondly.
Cumin lamb skewers are pictured, and were delicious. The cumin lamb flatbread 孜然羊肉夹摸, was what really took me back. If in Chicago it’s a must try.“

“I can't bring myself to gatekeep this place, I've never had a bad meal here. They serve even large groups quickly and have ample seating upstairs as well. The milk tea is great and the specials like the shredded cold chicken are fantastic. Absolutely a cut above all the tourist fare in Chinatown Square, and yet everything is still reasonably priced. Go here, you won't regret it.“

“Family of 4 - myself and son split the All you can eat Sushi, while my husband and daughter split a couple of the Chinese entrees. Staff was very attentive and friendly. Everything we received came out fresh and delicious. Everyone left full and satisfied with their meals! I think this might be a new favorite spot. There was a lot of food we wanted to try and can't wait to come back to try more!“

“Northern taste is our favorite Szechuan comfort food in Chicago. The dry chili chicken, cumin lamb, and green beans are some of our go-to items. We mainly do takeout, but dining in was also a good experience. The staff is efficient and friendly. This food is better than Lao Szechuan from Chinatown by a solid margin, and probably why the reviews here are better.“

“New Furama and Furama are my favorite go to places for dimsum. The selection is amazing, the quality great. I always leave feeling I made the best decision in dimsum. Prices are fairly reasonable too. It's a 90 minute drive one way, and well worth it.“

“Best dumplings in Chicago!“

“I went here 4 times in one month, because it really is that good. This is one of the few Chinese restaurants left in Chicago where the "sifu" really knows what they are doing--as in, truly is a master in technique and flavor. Everything I tried, was delicious. Some of their specialties, wide chicken and potato noodles, smoked pork pancakes, lamb dill dumplings, buckwheat dumplings, and crispy duck, are incredible not-to-be-missed dishes. But common favorites like crispy eggplant, salt and pepper shrimp, and shredded potato salad are done superbly here too. It's never too packed, and they are very considerate to families with small children. Be kind to to serving staff, you can tell it really is a family business and language can be tricky. They accidentally took down a lamb dish we didn't order but promptly took it back when the mistake was explained. I am going to keep coming back as often as I can, and make fans out of as many friends as possible.“

“Came here twice. First time we ordered dry hot pot, it was really good but very oily. Second time we ordered string beans and Kung pao chicken. The string beans tasted very good, but the Kung pao tasted more on the sweet & sour side, not to our taste. Both dishes very oily too. Generally, the food is good, but for the reason of every dish too oily, we probably won't come back too often.“

“I've lived in Chicago for over 70 years. The last time we visited Chinatown was over 10 years ago. We decided to check out Emperor"s choice restaurant on Wentworth/Cermak. The best decision ever. Hank was a awesome waitperson! He even brought out 5 different noodles for me to pick out the one I wanted. From drinks, appetizers, and main entrees, everything was delicious and worth the price which was quite reasonable. We'll be back!“

“I think this was the owners of Daguan noodles that closed a few months ago, the menu is the exact same with the same workers. Love love love. I was heart broken looking for Daguan noodle and saw that it was closed. Luckily we agreed on this place and realized it was the same place just in a different location and new name ?“

“Uncle Zhang’s is definitely my under the radar Chinese food spot in the city that is highly under rated. Hands down it is the best Chinese food in the city! The eggplant and the sweet and sour pork out of this world! The fact that no place I have been to makes the sweet and sour pork like they do makes them innovators since it’s hands down the best l dish! Most of the dishes are Cantonese style. So, if you like that style give Uncle Zhang’s a try!“

“It’s a clay pot restaurant inside the Park to Shop super market. Still a bit manual payment process. Order at the restaurant and pay upfront at the cashier (grocery store)
It’s a go to for clay pot rice. They added porridge and noodle selections to their menu. But clay pot is a must try, the bbq clay pot is always my favorite.“

“My husband and I came to this establishment as we were starving while shopping across the street and i was craving chinese food. We were pleasantly surprised at how good the food is here. Very hot and freshly made to order and it tasted very good. The egg roll was one of the best i’ve had and pretty big in size compared to other egg rolls. The inside of the location was very small and hot! We ate in the car as we were sweating just standing there waiting for our order. I got the chicken lo mein lunch special and he got the triple delight spicy. Will definitely be returning and trying other entrees.
Vegetarian options: You can order almost any entree vegetarian if you ask.
Parking: It’s a plaza with other establishments but we found plenty of parking.“

“Typically I don’t give out 5 stars to Chinese restaurants since I have higher standard for them because of my ethnicity, but I am truly impressed by the quality of food here. This is the best Hunan restaurant that I have ever had! Let’s start the review:
1. 麻辣大片牛肉: they used beef shank meat for this dish, thinly sliced and marinated, then stir fried to perfection. It’s spicy and numbing, seasoned with soy sauce and Chinese 5 spice. The sesame seeds adds a new dimension to the flavor. The meat is a bit chewy for beginners, but that’s how this dish is suppose to taste. The numbness will only hit you after you swallow your first bite, think of it like the after taste of a smooth sake. Highly recommended!
2. 干锅鹿茸姑: a mixture of three different kind of dried fungus and pork belly, stir fried to perfection. This is my favorite dish today. The aromatic dry mushrooms and rich pork belly complements each other well. The chewiness of the mushroom meets the rich pork belly, perfect symphony!
3. 腊鸡莴笋汤: the smoked chicken was made in house, Smokey and a bit chewy, but using it in a soup softened the chicken and add some smokiness to the soup. The nutty celtuce absorbed the chicken flavor and IMO, the best thing in the soup. This is a must order dish in the restaurant if you are into smoked meat. It was a new experience for me!
4. 长沙臭豆腐: for people who are familiar with stinky tofu, this is a piece of heaven. Most of the stinky tofu in America are similar to regular tofu, not stinky enough. This is the real deal, yet still tolerable to me. The tofu is fried and served with a special sauce. I loved it.
5. Stir fried morning glory: typical stir fried vegetable dish, perfectly cooked, but it would be better if they put less oil in the dish.
Overall a great restaurant, highly recommend if you want to have an authentic Hunan cuisine in Chicago.
Parking: Plenty of street parking when we visited the restaurant. Since the restaurant is located near the end of China town, you would want to park near the center because there are not a lot of available space next to the restaurant.“

“Servicers were among the best I've seen. They were so attentive, and they took special care of my friend who couldn't eat meat. Their sauce making station is very good and everything tastes so vibrant. We came in after a long and busy day, an hour before they closed, and they still allowed us to eat. They were very respectful. Better than any Minnesota hotpot place I've ever been to (I'm a Minnesota native). The fish balls were AMAZING. Absolutely one of the best blind picks we've had in Chicago so far.
Vegetarian options: They can change and edit the broth for vegetarians.“

“WOW was this Chinese food amazing. I just got over a stomach bug and was craving some egg drop soup. I decided to order from China Snack for the first time and got egg drop soup, beef/broccoli, and sweet/sour pork. EVERYTHING was some of these best I’ve ever had.
Portions are massive also. I emptied everything out to my glass ware for storage and shocked how full everything is.

“I got one of their hand stretched noodles for hot and sour sauce bc they were out of their more popular noodle dish but the noodle itself was so fresh and delicious. I did ask for less spice thinking it would be too spicy but I regret that bc the dish was lacking flavor so I have to add a lot of chili oil, making it a bit too oily, but still tasty regardless. I tried their spicy cucumber salad, it was alright. Their lamb skewers were good. I did not really like their dumplings as much. Overall still a great place to eat! The fresh noodles are worth it. Oh and the price is really good for the amount of food!“
