I really enjoy Quills. Although it's not based in indianapolis, this is still a roaster and they serve their own coffee both as beverages or bagged. Large selection of single origins. Their Ethiopian is high quality, great fruitiness, makes wonderful pour over. Their blends are fun as well. Prefer this location over previous 9 on canal location as it feels more personalized to them as a coffee shop. Plenty of seating. I was in town for work and needed a nice coffee shop to pop in, grab a quick pick me up, and get a bit of work done. I've been to a Quills in Louisville, so when I discovered on Yelp that there was one close to my hotel, I didn't hesitate to make my way there. Great atmosphere and friendly staff but was disappointed with my chai and muffin. I ordered a 16oz chai and 6-8oz of it was just foam. The muffin was collapsed and very wet/doughy in the middle. Everything tasted fine but it seemed like folks were all on board with cutting corners. I won’t be returning.
