great authentic Mexican food!
Those of you who follow my reviews know that I like to score (out of 5 stars) in five categories (Atmosphere, Menu, Execution, Service, Value) and then average the items for a final score. That will be my model here.
Atmosphere: The restaurant is colorfully decorated, with carved seats/tables, and Mexican-themed wall decor. There was plenty of seating that wrapped around in an L, giving a bit of privacy during the less-busy hour I visited. I would give atmosphere a 4/5...read full review
One of the BEST places in Lafayette to get Mexican food. We’ve been multiple times & they NEVER disappoint.

El Maguey is a fantastic restaurant serving true Mexican cuisine. The portions are generous and the food tastes amazing, with popular dishes including supreme tacos and steak burritos. The menu is huge and diverse, making it easy for everyone to find something they love.
