“The food is delicious when you can get him to make it correctly. When ordering ONLY this and that on tacos, it shouldn't also include the other ingredients you specifically asked not to be put on it. This is a constant issue that doesn't seem to be fixable in my case.“

“I have gone to almost every Mexican / Hispanic place in town, and this place is BY FAR the best. Everything was made fresh (including the chips and salsa). You can tell that they only use fresh, high quality ingredients. The portions were quite large ( we both bought from the lunch specials, so we were expecting it to be smaller portions than we got). Do be warned that they are slightly more expensive than some of the other places in town, but the food makes it worth it. I spoke to our waitress and she said they will be getting their liquor license very soon, if you want to have a beer or marg with your food.

We were too full to try the desserts, but so next time we will be sure to try those.

“This elusive little place serves excellent Mexican food. The 3 Quesadillas came with 3 types of meat, and the chicken in the Pollo Estilo Puebla was done perfectly. Portions are generous enough that you'll probably have leftovers. They also have the BEST tortilla chips I've ever had - they are literally fried tortillas. They don't have any lunch time specials, so expect to pay dinner prices all day. Atmosphere is plain, service was sort of slow at times, but you won't be disappointed with the food.“

“We eat at El Meson at least once or twice a week with family and friends. The food is always great and the service is always amazing. Hats off to Jonathon, Corina, David and Kevin!!! You all rock!!

Definitely authentic Mexican food and affordable. Food looked so good we forgot to take picture and dove right in. $20 for 2 tortas, 3 tacos, and 2 drinks. (Alot cheaper than fast food and ALOT better taste). Definitely keeping this place in mind next time in the Lafayette area.“

“We stopped by on our way home to TN. We weren't disappointed!!
One of my favorite breakfast foods is an omelette and I dare say this place made THE best I've ever had.
My hub & I enjoyed every single bite of food we ordered, but what made our visit so special was Ashley & Della ❤️ What absolute gems these ladies are & worth their weight in gold. Truly exceptional in making sure we were most taken care of & simply sweethearts!!! Thanks so much, ladies for making us feel right at home.

“We have eaten once in the restaurant and once through the drive through. EXCELLENT food. Bummer to have to buy chips but the food makes up for it. Great staff. Clean restaurant. A bit pricey but this is NOT Taco Bell and you will pay a bit more and wait a bit longer for superb food. This is one of our new favorite places!“

“I had a friend recommend me this place and it did not disappoint whatsoever. I got empanadas de rajas that has poblano, cheese, and potatoes. I got full with just that plate. The agua fresca was very refreshing and it tasted amazing. They also offer a variety of desserts but I was too full to order anything more.“
