“I was meeting a friend for lunch and waiting outside of the restaurant. A couple came in that it was apparent that they had been out in the cold for awhile. The gentleman asked if I knew how much a cup of coffee would be? They shared some of their struggles and lack of funds. I wasn’t sure they served coffee. I entered Nom Noms and asked the waiter. He said they only have coffee on Sundays but they would make some. The couple asked if they had tea, they were given some iced tea. Nom Nom staff allowed the couple to sit down for a good hour, to warm up and enjoy not only one cup of coffee and tea, but refilled their cups a couple of times! Well done Nom Noms! Thank you for your hospitality to this couple!“

“Got chimichanga Al pastor but had to order guacamole on the side rather than receiving it with meal. I assume I was charged extra for it. The horchata tasted like literal vanilla pudding mix dumped over ice. Not the experience I had the first time I came. Also the the birria platter came with hardly any onion and other condiments. Is it that hard to keep the lights on?“

“The food is delicious when you can get him to make it correctly. When ordering ONLY this and that on tacos, it shouldn't also include the other ingredients you specifically asked not to be put on it. This is a constant issue that doesn't seem to be fixable in my case.“

Awesome waitress and great food..if u leave there hungry it's ur fault and they hve a great selection of drinks and non alcoholic beverages..we had one with orange juice..sprite and strawberry..also if u hve a birthday coming up it's really cool to go there..they had a few celebrations going on while we were there..if u haven't been there u need to go.“

“Another hidden gem, this is really hidden inside of a grocery store lol. We were in the area and stopped by to pick up some ingredients for home and noticed they had a little restaurant inside. Definitely authentic Mexican food and affordable. Food looked so good we forgot to take picture and dove right in. $20 for 2 tortas, 3 tacos, and 2 drinks. (Alot cheaper than fast food and ALOT better taste). Definitely keeping this place in mind next time in the Lafayette area.“

“This place is now called Andies. The place is like a fusion of Waffle house and IHOP in a old diner setting. Classic setting. Reasonably priced and appears popular with locals. A must to visit and try their pancakes and other delicacy. Nice staff.“

“Out of the many places in lafayette, Mitchell's Mex is honestly a good place to grab some on-the-go mexican food. Small place with a big menu. They habe food for everyone. The street tacos and soft taco delux are our go to and has yet to disappoint.“

“This is my favorite place for snacks in food in Lafayette.
I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place before. I would give this place a 10 out of 5 stars if I could. It is one of the last bastions of good, reasonably priced local food in Lafayette. The owners are so kind. They recognize us when we come in and are super accommodating.
You can really see the hardwork and dedication that went into this business. While they might be a little slower than a McDonald's, their quality is unmatched by anything in the area.
They are known for their Mangollada. It's delicious. The mango sorbet is homemade. The fruit is always ripe. One time, the owner felt that he didn't put enough sorbet in my cup so he gave me an entire extra scoop for free.
Our favorites to order are the Mangollada, Fresas con Crema with vanilla ice cream, Al Pastor Tacos, and Tostiesquites.
I wish I had better photos of the food but we always start eating it before I remember to grab a picture.“

“Great place for a bite of quick 'build it up cafeteria style' mexican food. It's comparable to the other similar style mexican foods in the area although I like the selection of salsas as well as the bag of corn chips that come with the order. The employees were friendly and welcoming too!“
