Restaurantji unveils Lowell's must-visit Mexican dining spots.
“I absolutely love the freshly made tacos and tortilla chips! If you peek in da kitchen you might catch a glimpse of abuela cooking. I love that! This is ALWAYS my 1st stop when traveling to Chicago from Southern Indiana. Feels like I'm in abuelas home!!Kid-friendliness: I come with my two younger sons every time. And we are treated like family!!“
“I've been eating here since I was a kid. The staff is kind and attentive, the food portions are large and I have enjoyed a lot of what I have tried. Try the mini burritos, botanas tapatias, or fajitas with a Cadillac margarita in the side. Keep a look out for Mi Ranchito at the Labor Day parade. It is a highlight of the day.“
“Food was okay.Absolutely no one In line behind me, but they make you pull up to the curb because they don't want the numbers to go down. So you're waiting out in the middle of nowhere. And you just can't be handed it through the window like a normal transaction because they want to save their numbers..Lame.“
“We have been eating at Fat Burrito since it opened, it is our after work Friday spot. Love all the authentic food. Burritos are great but much more than burritos. My favorite is the bistec con rajas, steak and peppers covered in cheese and hot tortillas! They now have a full bar for those Margaritas, wait staff is just awesome. You will not wait long for a fresh drink or anything you need. Not fancy, just a good spot here in CP.“
“My first time here today with friends and it was great. I had shrimp fajitas and tried their strawberry margaritas, both were delicious! My friends had a taco platter and a taco salad, they enjoyed their choices as well.I'll definitely be back!“
“Server was awesome, also she had a lot on her plate, being that she was one of like 2 or 3 servers, I wanted to place a carry out, but our server was so busy. place was busy as well, got my food at an appropriate time, I was really hungry that morning because I worked late and skipped dinner, and went out the next day with the kiddos and wife. so I can't leave an honest review of the food, but I can say is that I didn't send anything back, the biscuits and gravy are not very good either. But honestly I would give this place a 6/10 btw it's so cramped inside, needs a new design format.“
“I meet a friend once a month for lunch and he recommended trying the Santa Fe restaurant. After our arrival I found the decorations in the restaurant were excellent in that it reminded me of restaurants I had eaten in while vacationing in Mexico. The menu as expected was extensive and making a choice was difficult. I ordered the Chiles Rellenos that were very good. Our meals were excellent and we decided to return some time in the future. The wait staff provided us with very good service with attention to any additional needs we may have had. I have added this location to my personal list of good restaurants. I recommend you try The Santa Fe restaurant and decide for yourself.“
“I've been coming to Court St. Burrito for 3 years now. Rarely do they mess up my order and if they do, they fix it right away. Good prices and good food. I always recommend coming here for good quality food that isn't overly expensive. All there employees are awesome and customer service is great.“
“Restaurant was busy but I was seated quickly after a table open and it was cleaned. I was promptly greeted by my server that I informed that I was in a little rush. She took my order and got my food very quickly and with a great attitude and smile! Definitely be coming back!“
“Great little place, some seating. Authentic Mexican food to grab and go. Whether you choose pastor, chicken or steak you can't go wrong!. Was recommended to try it and glad I did. Definitely will be trying more from the menu and back again soon.“
“The food is absolutely excellent! The staff is attentive and the kitchen is fast. We have been in four times at the Crown Point location on the square for lunch and are working our way through the taco menu. It’s really hard to pick a favorite because they are all so good. Looking forward to dinner soon!! Highly recommend Veleros to anyone looking for seriously great cuisine.“
“Whether good or bad, it just about takes an act of Congress for me to take the time to write a review. I’m 38 years old and have only left two reviews in my entire life, this will be my third. Simply put, the food was hands-down some of the best I have ever had. The hospitality, second to none. For dinner, I had the Superman burrito which consisted of pork, chicken, beef and steak. I’m not much for beef, however, the flavor emitting from it made my stomach feel like it just won the lottery. Thank you Orlando for restoring my faith in the food industry once again.First time customer and future life customer,-Justin“
“Great lunch and dinner spot with excellent service and cute decor. The bar menu is fantastic (Modelo on draft!) and tasty chips and salsa. I loved the crispy cheese in the queso fundido from the smoking hot platter. I definitely recommend sharing with three or four. Posole was good, but made better with the habanero salsa served with the steak tacos. I've had better steak tacos, but they were still good.According to the signs, Thursday is BOGO half off entrees. We'll definitely come back to try a mixed drink and different meal.“
“The Queso Fundido / Molten Cheese is the best I have ever had in my life. I would describe it more as a queso dip with chorizo, as the cheese is melty/drippy and served with chips. I am used to queso fundido being more melty/stringy like pizza cheese, and served in tortillas. Either way, it hit the spot. Would definitely recommend 10/10. Rice and beans are delicious. Chorizo has just the right amount of heat. Tortillas have the perfect proportion of meat and flavorful toppings.“
