“First time coming here. I ordered the salmon hibachi (miso soup, ginger salad, roasted vegetables, and fried rice) and it was so delicious! The salmon was PERFECT and there was so much food. The prices aren't bad considering inflation! Our server was really great and the music playlist was nice. My husbands favorite part was that they bring you bottles of the ginger dressing and yum yum sauce so you can use as much as you'd like. We will definitely be back“
“Not as great as my previous (pre-COVID) visit. However, the food was still good. Seemed a little short staffed.Vegetarian options: There are many sushi rolls that are vegetarian and you can order a vegetarian hibachi option as well. The soup & salad that come with the meal are very good and vegetarian.Dietary restrictions: If you are very clear about your restrictions, they can accommodate most issues. However, if anyone has life threatening seafood allergies, I would not eat there.Kid-friendliness: Kids would generally love the show the hibachi grill offers but the games can be scary and it would depend on how patient they are about getting their food.Wheelchair accessibility: The hibachi tables would be a little difficult for a wheeler chair but I’m sure they would accommodate to the best they could and still allow for other people to be able to get in/out of their seats.“
“Excellent service and food. My partner and I ordered two sets of sushi and a yakisoba bowl to share on our anniversary and it was one of the most enjoyable flavor combinations I have had in a while. The servers were very present and offered refills early, and were in high spirits.Parking: Parking spots are a tight fit backing out of when leaving.“
“The salmon in the Sunset Roll was great quality, so fresh it melted in my mouth. The entire roll was absolutely refreshing and just what I needed. The ‘Heart Attack’ looked like a fun thing to order on the menu and was a pleasant surprise, exceeding my expectations. I would say it is more like their spin on a jalapeño popper, however, made with green peppers and MUCH better... completely worth the extra deep fried calories. So glad this place is in Logan Street Market!“
“A casual, simple sushi restaurant with uncomplicated delicious food, where the chef clearly takes pride in his work. I highly recommend! Try the crunch roll!Dietary restrictions: Sushi is always great for non-dairyParking: I didn't see a lot of parking, but if it's not too busy (which it wasn't when I went), there are a couple of spots along the street nearby.Wheelchair accessibility: I think a wheelchair would have trouble because the door is a bit narrow and there's a step to get in“
“Best spot in Highlands to grab a pint and a bite, trust me when I say this is authentic Bardstown Rd Louisville, for better for worse (mostly better!). The staff and clientele are regulars and even come visit, from past to present; this is a friendly, family place, and the tastes and menu are diverse and welcoming. From Czech beer to Asian foods to Americas finest IPAs they have it, along with Sushi rolls and bar bites, from plain to fancy, they have it. Board games and card games, they have that too. Come in and say hi today, I’ll be set outside on the patio/sidewalk with a pint and some delicious food.“
“We have been big fans of Sebastián for years and when we heard he had partnered to open his own place, we had to make the 20 minute drive to try it. We were so glad we did! We weren't surprised to find that Yummi Yummi has great service and great sushi! Thanks Sebastián and Juan for the continued kindness and wonderful service. So happy to see you again and look forward to next time!❤️“
“Visiting from out of town, I stumbled across Jin Doshirak whilst on my way to pick up lunch elsewhere, I’m so glad to have stopped here instead! The vibe was unpretentious, straightforward and accommodating. I got the Japchae, it was delicious and a great value. I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in town. Highly recommend!“
“Great way to get into sushi, very approachable rolls and plenty of other options for uncertain guests. I've been coming here for over 10 years and have had consistent service and food every visit. The new location upscaled their service and I've really enjoyed the menu items added since their move. Walkable part of the city so it's easy to waste an hour waiting for a table along the streets of the highlands.Parking: Pretty busy part of Bardstown Rd, when in doubt turn down a random side street and find a spot.“
“our waitress was so sweet!! I went with my best friend and her family today and got the spicy tuna roll and yum yum roll, it was some of the best sushi I've ever eaten!! will definitely recommend in the future to anyone looking for a new place to try.“
“My companies goto place for great Chinese food.Lunch specials are filling and well priced.Bento Boxes are packed with food.Food is made quickly, I can order and leave to go pick it up and it is usually ready.Best lo mein I have had, very flavorful and soaks up the sauces from entrees.Vegetarian options: tofu entrees, veggie stir fry, veggie spring roles, salad with ginger dressing.“
“We had an amazing dinner and are excited to come back and try the ramen!!! Hibachi and boba tea were both great, and our server was awesome and super accommodating of my weird dietary restrictions. Super cute casual atmosphere. This might be one of my new favorite spots!!“
“WARNING! DO NOT get ANY side order because it is NOT worth the money for a few bites. Get the main courses. Great food just VERY disappointed this trip. Thought I would just order the side Salmon without the rice, soup, and vegetables(hibachi dish), but instead only got a tiny square of Salmon. Could have gone elsewhere for a decent meal for $9. ?“
“Got a New England clam chowder and 1/3 lb of crab legs. The New England clam chowder was alright... It was too salty to say the least and not my most favorite. But the crab legs on the other hand with the garlic butter and all the other helpings were delicious and full of succulent flavor. They also put in a generous helping of shrimp too which was phenomenal in my case. Great first time trying this place out and will not certainly be my last.“
“My favorite Chinese spot. I've gotten Mongolian beef, pepper chicken (my fav!!), sesame chicken and avocado roll. I love their food! It's a smooth 30 minute drive from my house but I go about every 2 months if not more. I usually order with plain white rice. I also like the crab Rangoon! I want to try some of their tofu next. I think it's a great spot. I usually get uber eats of it if I'm not feeling up to the drive.“
“Service is wonderful and we received the food quickly. The atmosphere is nice if not a bit loud. Sake is great, beer is great. Love the house salad and the seaweed salad. Some really cool sushi combo, try the Sunken Titanic if you dare. Salmon doesn't have a lot of flavour on its own and wish it came chilled instead of room temperature.“
“Party of 4, we went there around 8pm on weekday. No wait time to be seated, the waitress was nice and professional from the beginning to the end. She even greeted us when we walked out.Food was a bomb!I had a Salmon Poke bowl, some seaweed salad in the bowl that gives you crunch, and the salmon was fresh. The flavor was just so perfect with some sesame oil!!! Rice was great not to soft and not to hard.To be honest I was not sure about getting a raw fish at Drakes since the atmosphere looks more like "grill" or a bar kind of atmosphere but I'm glad I've tried. I can't wait to try another dish next time!Kid-friendliness: They have different heights of chairs and offers basic kids meals. My child is a picky eater but she loves their grilled cheese and wants to go back soon!“
“Great food, service great, you can watch them grill your food and make fresh sushi. Very reasonably priced except for the smoothies, they are pricey and the frozen blueberry one that we tried wasn't that great. Not very flavorful. The food was amazing!“
“We are frequent patrons of DKD in New Albany and have been to the Louisville location a few times. We love the food, atmosphere, and attentiveness of the staff.Kid-friendliness: We recently celebrated a birthday here, reserving a table on the outdoor patio. We were later told we had to move to another table because the outdoor patio was technically "bar" seating and we had a 6 month old baby with us. -- It was confusing and odd as the Exchange right across the street allows children in their outdoor patio area adjacent to the bar. I wish this would have been made clear or we could get some explanation on why this area is not suitable for our party. There is side street access to this area so its not like it is "only accessible" through the bar. - It was odd. Just thought I'd share. Other than this issue we usually have a great experience at DKD.“
