“I moved back to SoIN this summer after living in SoCAL the last 40 years. I had a wonderful favorite family run Mexican restaurant I had gone to for 38 of those 40 years. It's been hard to find a good Mexican restaurant here in the Evansville/Newburgh area. My neighbors recommended La Catrina so I gave them a try. While not quite as good as my spot in LA, the food is very good, the service is great, and they have my favorite Tequila, Don Julio 1942. It is a nice family run spot which I have been to several times since I moved back and will be going there to celebrate my birthday on 11/23. I recommend you give them a try.”

Great effort was expended in making sure that we felt VALUED & that our investment there was appreciated & rewarded with exceptional entrees, presentation, service & attentiveness to our every need. Though they were VERY busy, servers were watchful & quickly responsive to the needs of those they served. We were IMPRESSED in every aspect and will return regularly & recommend w/o hesitation.”

“Take this review with a grain of salt, I haven't been here in almost 15 years, but I'm so happy it's still here. I used to work in Newburgh and the lunch deals were such a good value. I'm a yankee so it was a little different from new york style chinese but i still love the flavor. At first I used to ask them to hold the fish sauce but I grew to find the flavor addicting. I love the fishies if they're still there.”

“If you've never tried Pho you should. It is an amazing rich not spicy soup. The Pho here is amazing and comes with jalapeños on the side and everything at your table to make it a spicy adventure if you chose to. I had the P1 beef pho. It was so so good. $13 and extremely filling and the best part GOOD for you! Which is hard to find nowadays. I've had it authentic and this is spot on.”

“Stopped in for lunch with a friend and we both ordered wraps. I ordered the Mediterranean wrap which was delicious and a generous portion. For my side I chose the cucumber salad which was amazing. Simply sliced with a delicious teriyaki sauce. I would order them as a meal. For quality ingredients and portion I felt that the price was right. I also tasted a sample of a peanut butter protein drink. Tasted like dessert, not chalky. Will be back!!”

“Atmosphere is wonderful and good music! Restaurant staff is absolutely out of this world! Real good down home BBQ. You need to make a stop it's well worth it. There is no longer a buffet offered any more. The price and portions are worth it. If you can try to save room for desserts. Keep eating to much to get any. The desserts look amazing.

“Just came from the Diamond Ave. Store, the salads and sandwiches are all homemade with fresh baked breads. Excellent ! However the best part was having Becky and Jessica who work there fix the food correctly. They fixed everything as if it was there own. What more could someone ask for : great service , good food , and fair prices, five stars to this Lics crew.”
