“I haven't had anything bad on the menu. The Portibella Mushrooms are huge and covered with melted cheese. The Chicken Strips are my husband's favorite with steak fries and cheese. All the burgers are scrumptious. I don't have a favorite here because I like to try different items when we go. The drinks are icy cold. You should definitely try a "Papa Smurf" when you go. You do have to be 21 to go to this location!!”

“My wife and I have become regulars at Essence. We discovered this wonderful gem of a restaurant in Elkhart shortly after they opened, and we have not hesitated spreading the word. Both my wife and I enjoy fine dining, and living in a small town one would think that you would have to travel to Chicago to find sure offerings, but since the opening of Essence, Elkhart is blessed to have the same level food and service right here!!! The facility is absolutely beautiful and the view overlooking the river is spectacular as well. I love that the staff recognizes us and greets us by our names and they even walk us out to the door after our meal. Essence never disappoints, and they always exceed my

“While traveling through the area I noticed the amazing view of the lake while driving by and decided to stop for lunch. Nikki was a wonderful host & waitress accommodating my request for dining outside and made an excellent recommendation as a first time visitor. Superb!! The day was beautiful, the meal was great! Morgan who was very attentive and served me cold Peroni’s! The food is made from scratch, you can tell the dough is fresh and never frozen, including all of their menu items. This place is a hidden gem in Granger and I look forward to my return. Thank you for the great hospitality JC’s staff!”

“I’ve been going to place for the past 6 years since 2019 and honestly it’s been an amazing place to just wind down and enjoy a good afternoon. Casey & DJ are amazing owners but Amanda Ashton and really all the bartenders have been incredible with their service and have really been a big reason why this place continues to be amazing. The staff behind the scenes have been great and the kitchen staff knocks it out the park too!”

“The flavor of the food here is consistently phenomenal. It's hard to go wrong with anything on the menu, but I'd recommend the PB&J smash burger and the Banger fries. The Redhawk and Maryland fries are standouts as well. Keep an eye on the weekly signature smash burger too (the Philly burger changed my life). The wings I've had once, but only because the burgers and I have such a good thing going on right now. The sauces were great (the BBQ has a nice rich sweet flavor), and the quality of the chicken was top tier. The staff are super welcoming and accommodating as well, and the atmosphere is fun and relaxing.”

“Great little brewery. Loved the atmosphere, great food and great drinks. It's a little different than most as when you go in the sign says to seat yourself and go to the bar to order. My Wife and I decided on a jalapeno popper pizza and a Reuben sandwich. We had a beer and a slushy brain freeze. I brought the drinks back to our table and a little while later they brought out our food. I will definitely go back when I'm back in Elkhart. Great food great service and great staff.”
