“This location is impressive! The restaurant is overall really clean and the food smells great, making for a wonderful first impression. The workers were very nice and knowledgeable, and demonstrated real kindness by offering our son a free dessert. We ordered a party pack, and despite the size, it was ready quickly. “Our ladies group plans dinners every month. We usually have any where from 20 - 30. This months event was planned for Thai District and reservations were made. I was looking forward having dinner here. When we starting arriving we were told they do not give separate checks. This should have been made known when the reservation was made. We walked out as they refused to do separate checks for us and left Thai District and walked down to Bru Burger. A big Thank you to Bru burger for serving such a large group on short notice and without a reservation. Our server Kayla L. did an outstanding job. Our beverages and food came out in record time and we were all served pretty much at the same time. Excellent job Kayla L. and kudos Bru Burger. Kayla, thank you so much for welcoming and serving us. Picked up an order of nachos today to go and ask for chips on the side. while I was waiting for my order… I watched a kid try to fit chips in to a pizza box several times, crushing chips. Then, moved to a bag but the actual nachos was too hot for a bag. He moved back to the nachos in pizza box and chips in separate bag. When my name came up and I realized this is my order, I asked for new unbroken bag of chips and the kid denied crushing my chips. He even asked why I didn’t stop him if I was sitting there watching him. I said I didn’t know it was my order but I thought it might be. All happened to fast. The rest was a huge ordeal and truly sucked just for asking for new chips that weren’t broken.“

They were out of sirloin steak? However, the Bourbon Street Pasta was phenomenal. I love spicy food, especially cajun. Charbono's has been a special place to our family for over 25 years. It was nice to introduce a young couple form Lebanon (Boone County) to the restaurant where the amazing Cunningham Restaurants began. Thank you, Charbonos!“

“I chose this restaurant for my dad's 80th birthday celebration based on reviews here as well as another forum. The experiences shared were hit and miss and that's pretty much what played out for us as well.\n\nOur reservation was at 1 pm and we arrived about 12:50. We let my mom out at the door so she wouldn't have to walk so far with her mobility issues and when I came in after parking, she said "they're just cleaning up and will seat us.". Our group wasn't seated until almost 1:30 while we watched various staff half-heartedly preparing our tables for nearly 25 minutes. Thankfully there was bench seating near the hostess stand for mom since she can't stand for very long.\n\nService was slow but our waitress did her absolute best since much of the delay was on the kitchen. She stated the kitchen got behind but I'm not sure how since it wasn't busy at all in the rest of the restaurant. By the time the first of our food started arriving, it was probably 2:30 pm or so and mom's food was last - I actually had to get out some of the mini cupcakes I brought for dad's birthday because she was getting a little hangry.\n\nFood itself was also hit or miss - those of us that got typical pub fare were happy (2 burgers, 2 spaghetti/meatballs, 2 deep dish pizzas, and a tavern pizza). My husband and my dad, the birthday boy, got the Sunday prime rib special and described it as meh at best. I was sad for my dad because he was so hesitant to order it due to price and was considering something else but we encouraged him to get it since we were paying for his birthday meal. \n\nAs stated above, I brought 5 dozen mini cupcakes so each family could take a dozen home plus some to share at the table. A pizookie was part of the prime rib meals but when we asked about ordering them, the waitress said she didn't think we'd want them since I brought cupcakes. I immediately spoke up and said my dad had been talking about the salted caramel pizookie ever since the drive over and YES we wanted them! I had also told them that not only was it dad's 80th, my mom was also turning 79 in a few days as well, but other than a verbal "happy birthday" at seating, there wasn't any other recognition. Mom was happy splitting the pizookie with dad but I could tell she was a bit disappointed not to get the birthday candle fanfare (she loves birthdays as much as I do).\n\nOverall, it was just ok. We might return in the future because nothing was really "bad" about the experience other than the speed of service, but it probably won't be my first option the next time I'm planning a family meal somewhere either.“

“FIVE STARS! WOW WERE WE BLOWN OUT OF THE WATER OR SHOULD I SAY SYRUP! we were driving home from a long lasting movie theater experience when we were taken aback by a beautifully designed glowing sign in the distance. we both looked at each other and knew instantly what had to be done. we immediately turned into the parking lot and were welcomed by a neon red smile, we knew were in the right place…I HOPped out of my car with exhilaration. we walked to the front door and were met with the smiling face of the host. we immediately felt like we were at home, the warm and cozy environment drew us further in. after we were seated we were quickly greeted by our server. he got our drinks within thirty seconds, some might call him the flash. i wanted extra ice but was too worried to voice my opinion as i had been shut down in my previous endeavors, but it was like the flash read mind and brought me my cup of water with a 75% ice and 25% water ratio. directly after receiving our drinks, he gave us lots of knowledgeable answers to all of our tough menu questions. we eventually decided on the legendary pancake of the month, THE COOKIE BUTTER PANCAKE STACK. my associate also inquired about some hashbrowns (who am i to say no…) after finishing our order our food came out in what felt like three minutes (time goes by quick when ur having fun) we were speechless as our waiter placed a perfect stack of cookie butter pancakes in front of us. where do i even begin here. when i say perfect i mean PERFECT. when i stuck my fork in that stack i could feel my heart melt just as the butter on top of that full stack was melting. I could feel myself salivating as the deliciousness came closer towards my mouth. our waiter also brought us his own personal recommendation, a chocolate syrup side dish. he told us that this was his secret touch to the already perfect stack of pancakes. he deserves a nobel peach prize to be honest. the hashbrowns were incredible. those beautiful crispies, so golden, they made my heart drop. after all of this i was convinced i had to be sitting in the single greatest establishment in america. on top of the PERFECT FOOD AND SERVICE, the ambience and interior design was top notch. i was extremely surprised when i did research on this establishment that it did not even have a michelin star. i would recommend this restaurant til the day i die.
