I was totally wrong the food was home cooked fresh made and cravable. my kids enjoyed themselves thoroughly, my youngest normally doesn't eat his whole plate but he did on this visit. this is a hidden gem that I suggest that you run don't walk to go see!“

Last night, I sampled their newest menu item, Loaded Bacon and Cheese Fries, which were remarkable. The fries were cooked to perfection, with an ideal balance of ranch and cheese, accompanied by outstanding bacon. I appreciate the family-run aspect of the business. For authentic Chicago flavors, including beef hot dogs and Italian Beefs, Depot Hot Dogs is a recommended destination. They also offer items for dogs. “The breakfast selection is enormous and you receive a lot of food for a low price! Many people don't realize that there is a lunch menu and also a dinner menu. I don't know how this restaurant can supply large portions at a good price. They have an all-you-can eat fish dinner on Friday's and they have extended hours until 8pm on Friday and Saturday. We are going to try the Rib special tonigh! P.S. Great waitresses and staff!“

“We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon and Jordan and Nicole were so welcoming. They helped make suggestions on coffee and tea. The drinks were very well made and Jordan asked if we would like the banana bread we bought warmed up. Such nice personal touches in the coffee shop. Warm and welcoming atmosphere. “We are on vacation at Indiana Dunes and stopped in at Dog Days today after lunch for a treat. Great place, and AMAZING staff! Our kids, ages 5 and 2, changed their minds on what they wanted a couple of times and the two young ladies working were so patient with us as they took our orders. Very clean and a great atmosphere - My kids loved watching the little train overhead. And of course, the ice cream was delicious! Also, they have a family restroom with a changing table, which may not be high on most people’s list but that can be so hard to find in these little specialty shops and as a family with two littles, having those facilities easily available is just a very nice bonus. Highly recommend :)“

The bar keep Bruce was a lot of fun too! I highly recommend 18th Street Brewery in Miller Beach for craft brewed beer and distilled spirits.“

We had the maple brussel sprouts, loaded potato fritters (that sauce!), the French dip (melts in your mouth), and the best cocktails were the Painkiller, Brewtini, and Liv-Lav-Love.
