“I recently hosted a last minute surprise birthday party. Everyone at Sips & Stones was incredible. I was looking for a place that would just allow seating for 25 people without having to reserve a room or have pre planned menu. They accommodated every request and helped make it an absolutely wonderful evening. Susan took care of our party and was absolutely incredible! She was the best! Cannot thank you enough… it was exactly what I had in mind!“

“The history of this tavern is one of the best in Lake County Indiana. Positioned in what used to be an old Indiana town where the stagecoach used to stop here to give its passengers a rest, eats and drink. What a wonderful building . a building that even holds in the basement stories of the prohibition . A place that one day progress will destroy. Enjoy it while it’s still here..“

“Great place for a selection of meats and cheeses. Lunches to go or dine in. Also added a bar with various craft beer choices and indoor seating. Rear kitchen sometimes features restaurant takeovers with special menus as well. Located in the heart of downtown Griffith Indiana it's the perfect spot for break while shopping. Plenty of items to browse as well related to Charcuterie boards. Much better than your average deli!“

“I was looking for a close spot to have a cold beer and grab a bite to eat in-between my daughters volleyball games and stumbled upon the gem called R Place. This spot is great! I was told that they have been in business 42 years! WOW, and I can see why. They are very friendly and treat you well. The food is fantastic and the locals are very laid back and make you feel welcome as well. If I was local to the area, this bar would be my base! A throwback feel to the better times, in my opinion. 5 ✨'s! I hope to get a chance to visit again.“

“We love Brewhouse and visit at least a couple times per month. They rotate their drink menu, there are always good local options (e.g., IPAs, Stouts, Lagers, Sours, Ciders), and they have a nice outdoor seating area that can be used during the warmer months. The bartenders are nice and playful and their food menu includes some clearly identified vegan options. They also have a couple of old arcade games you can play for free and have a bingo night, which is fun.“

Lots of remodeling, new pool tables, I had even recommended her to get a pinball machine in there because me n my friends love pinball, well low an behold SHE'S GOT ONE COMING THIS WEEK!!! “I have seen this place there since I was young. we were out with some friends and decided to swing in. It is a quaint, little old homey bar. we loved it!!! The building looks like it is original to the town. (I love old vintage buildings, etc). We bought a round of drinks, hung out for a while, shot a game of pool. The customers and the bartender were very friendly!! Be aware they are a cash only bar (they do have an ATM inside) and it is a smoking bar so if you are sensitive to smoke. We will be back!! The one thing I noticed they changed the sign in the parking lot they had for years. I loved how it had a picture of the parking lot and had some cars, but also had a snowmobile and motorcycle parked together. Odd combination....but humorous!! 🤣 We will be back to support this local business!!“

“We went there for the Halloween bash yesterday. If you haven't been here before, be fore warned they do allow smoking here, so you know ahead of time. So don't complain about it, vote with your dollars if that isn't your thing. Normally it isn't mine, but we met some folks up there so no biggie.“

“My first time I had ever been to Lighthouse and it was so worth it.the bartender ( Lauren ) not only made fantastic drinks but she also knew the menu and was able to guide me on what to get. The service from Lauren was amazing and I will definitely be coming back.“

“Great pizza, but dropped the ball with service on recent visit. This is one of our favorite places for pizza in the area, and we go there regularly. The food is always good, but today, we sat there for over 20 minutes without a single person stopping by to offer us water, offer to take our drink order or even just acknowledge our being there. It wasn’t even especially busy - most tables were empty. We gave up and went somewhere else.“
