Good food, quick, friendly service.
Had dinner there, and once again (because I’ve dined there several times already), was served mediocre, mostly flavorless food.
It appears that no matter what one orders, everything comes out swimming in a terrible brown sauce that has no taste and looks awful. This time I ordered Szechuan shrimp dish and even asked the waitress if it will be served in the usual brown sauce (of course, authentic Szechuan should be full of flavor and spice). Ho Ping House offers some of the best Chinese food in the area, with delicious homemade egg rolls and fresh dishes like Happy Family and Beef Fried Rice. The old school Chinese restaurant vibe adds to the experience, with low lighting, red and gold booths and golden cat decor and buddhas. The friendly staff work to make customers feel welcome. Recent customers enjoyed the hot sour soup and generous portions of Szechuan Chicken with Peanuts. The restaurant also features a sushi bar and drink bar, and offers dishes like crab Rangoon, veggie lo mein, Phoenix and dragon, and shrimp and scallop crispy salted. The Chow Fun, sauteed Chinese broccoli, Singapore noodles, and whole flounder filet are also recommended menu items. Visitors found the food to be fresh, hot, clean, and flavorful with great quality at inexpensive prices. Carryout options like pot stickers, crab rangoon, general tso's chicken, and lo mein were described as AWESOME. It is a good place to come with many good memories.
