“Beyond impressed! My boyfriend's favorite dessert is a key lime pie. He has a son that has a gluten and dairy allergy and his one request for his birthday this year was a key lime pie that he could share with his son. That was not an easy task to locate. Even though it is not something they offer on their menu, Mud Pie Bakery was willing to do a special order for a gluten free, dairy free key lime pie and I must say, we were blown away! It was delicious! The crust was delicious, the filling was tangy, and the whipped topping was sweet and balanced everything else out! Not only that, but it looked beautiful! The best part is that my boyfriend's son got to enjoy a sweet treat that the rest of the family was having and that is something that rarely happens, due to his dietary restrictions! “After Fox and Bull's sourdough bread served as a key component for the best grilled cheese of my life this summer, when I grabbed some treats at the farmer's market in OP, I knew my life was about to change. The almond bear claw was an absolute delight, and the greatest challenge was eating it slowly and savoring it instead of inhaling it in one bite. And the chocolate chip croissant is so light and buttery and flaky, it might have been made by an actual angel. I seriously cannot recommend Fox and Bull enough.“

I do notice a change in the attitude of the staff since about later 2025.

This may be because of any number of things. Around October 22 or 23 there were two bank robberies,first 1:30pm in Waldo area US bank Gregory Boulevard and Wornall Road-last one at 3:30pm a block away UMB Bank 49th & Main Street.

While the wait staff is excellent in a leisurely lunch, yet highly attentive; the sales staff are aggressive as soon as I am finished with the meal.
Even if I go to purchase a special treat not having a meal, and I want to shop. Also the price of chocolate treats were around $97.00 a pound for liquor chocolate truffles in February 2026!I don’t even look at the truffles anymore ( prices may fluctuate but I have noticed it’s unlikely prices go down).

I feel the sales staff rush customers to pay and leave.“

I was unfortunately recently stuffed with lunch so that I couldn't order anything, but saw lots of varieties and sizes being offered. “Was my 1st time and I was excited....I walked in smiling but my smile fell asleep immediately the one cashier grabbed the other and pointed at me whispering. I looked behind me but no one else was entering. I shrugged it off immediately because the place itself was such an amazing sight. I loved the setup and I spent quite a few minutes just walking around admiring such variety. The only downfall was the staff behind the counter watching me closely but never asking if I needed anything. Another customer smiled at me warmly and asked if it was my 1st time and explained about how everything works....I then got a few pastries 🍰 to try and walked over to the first register.both cashiers were now leaning against the counter on cell phones and when I said hi is this where I check out? The girl whose register is was in front of looked at me and walked away . I took my tray to the next register and repeated the same question. The young lady bagged my items and never said a word except to tell me my total. I wanted to ask for a manager but I was pressed for time. The pastry was incredible and I would love to take my daughter's there but with staff like that?“

We received a call from store manager Eric the morning before picking up our order. He recognized that we were likely ordering food for the next day given our pickup time was 5pm. He talked to us about our order and revised it to cinnaPacks to save money. I felt this was great customer service to take the time to make these alterations to our order. I picked up my order and food was ready when I got there. Of course, the roles are delicious! And the cold brew was good too. I believe Cinnabon rolls are consistently good most places that you go. But customer service at this location takes it up a notch! Well done.“
