“My husband and I popped by on a Saturday afternoon about 2:00 pm and it was quiet here until about 3:30. The bartender was very sweet and let me create my own craft cocktail using their amazing house blended tomorrow syrup. The books here are super cool and we proved several away just hanging out and drinking our cocktails. We’ve driven by so many times and this time it was a destination. Cool vibes, comfy seating for small groups. I noticed some laptop lap decks under a coffee table- nice amenity. This is yet another reason to love living in KC.“

The electric fireplace and couches were pretty cute.
Service was good.
Drinks were strong and good.
Only critique was the music was terrible. Something like a wedding DJ/christian/modern country playlist.
For a place this cool and vibey, you really need a DJ in there or some better playlists.

Other than that, great place, would definitely suggest to friends with some musical tweaks of course.“

“Is a 5-star for this style of neighborhood pub restaurant. We really enjoyed our time at Cliff's. Tasty appetizers (cauliflower bites, veggie dumplings) and our flatbread was crisp and flavorful. Service was great - very friendly, and value was spot-on. We will definitely go back.“

“Be careful or you’ll miss it! But that’s the point right? We came in on a Thursday evening. It was nice & quiet. The vibe was awesome. The drinks were great. You have to do “the alchemist experience” where they make you a one of a kind cocktail. Both of ours were delicious!“

“I like Grinders but the description of the “preferred viewing upgrade” was completely misleading! It was crazy hot so we got it strictly for the A/C Not anywhere near the stage and could barely hear the music when we went to get a beverage at the coffee shop (which is the a/c “lounge “) And the view was of the side of the stage and could barely see any of the performers. I will never pay for that upgrade ever again. Someone definitely needs to update the info on their ticket and venue site.“

“I’m in town on a long business trip. I was looking for a bar just like this one : not a generic chain bar, small, mainly locals, pool table….this bar is awesome. Within an hour I was chatting to the very friendly local patrons and playing pool. The lady working the bar was so nice and welcoming. I’ll be back for sure before I head out of Kansas. Oh, the beers on tap are freakin’ HUGE! I didn’t eat anything, so not sure about the food menu here.“

It was the perfect spot for our guests to go while the ballroom was being transitioned into our reception! “Food is really good, I've ordered many times from them but my last order included an $8.25 fee for carry out supplies. They charge a percent of the entire bill. No where in the check out process do they tell you this. This seems excessive for 6 utensil packs and 5 takeout containers. Many other BBQ places with similar price points do not charge this fee. If you are going to charge extra fees be up front about it.“

It was far beyond our expectations. Lonnie is an outstanding entertainer, musician, singer and tap dancer. He brings a mountain of enthusiasm that kept us smiling and entertained throughout the show. His musicians are terrific too! Lonnie's Reno Club is a must-experience if you are in Kansas City and have any interest in live jazz performance. The hotel's package that includes Lonnie's show is also highly recommended.“
