“Shake Shack food quality is top notch for a fast food restaurant. The burgers are excellent. The Shack Burger is always perfectly done. The patty edges are crispy and the ingredients fresh. You can add pickles, onions, and other basic toppings for free. The Smokehouse burger is also a favorite. The bacon is well-cooked and the cherry peppers add a bit of heat to the burger.

Fries are crispy on the outside and soft inside. Highly recommend the cheese fries if you like tangy melted cheese!

I never leave Shake Shack without a shake. You can’t go wrong with the chocolate or vanilla. Love that they have a wide variety of flavor options and even floats if you don’t want a shake.

The only downside is this location can get very busy during lunch and dinner. My wait time during peak hours can be around 20 minutes. Also, just a heads up there is no drive through!“

“First time going here and could not have been happier. To start, our server Ashley was simply amazing. Very attentive and answered every question we had, and made some amazing recommendations. The bread appetizer is a must! Had the wedge salad and it was amazing as well. My wife got the pork chop and I had the flank steak. Both dishes were incredible. “Went to Barbacoa, 5500 Troost, for brunch Sunday morning, what a delightful experience. I ordered Monie’s plate. It was mouthwatering. The serving was so generous, that I took half of it home. The corn tortillas were soft and warm enough to make a taco, the beans were flavorful and not spicy, the carnitas were fall apart tender and very tasty, perfectly fried potatoes, and fluffy scrambled eggs. The salsa was very tasty and not overly spicy. The coffee was even tasty (Costco Kirkland medium roast). Unlike some breakfast restaurants, the background music was so low and mellow (helps with digestion), I could hear my friends talk. We have to go back during the week for dinner. UPDATE - I forgot one very important thing, the service was excellent. Our group was one of two in the restaurant, but shortly afterwards other start to arrive. There was only one friendly waitress, who, despite the growing crowd, was able to get back to us about more coffee and to check on us“

“My husband and I popped by on a Saturday afternoon about 2:00 pm and it was quiet here until about 3:30. The bartender was very sweet and let me create my own craft cocktail using their amazing house blended tomorrow syrup. The books here are super cool and we proved several away just hanging out and drinking our cocktails. We’ve driven by so many times and this time it was a destination. Cool vibes, comfy seating for small groups. I noticed some laptop lap decks under a coffee table- nice amenity. This is yet another reason to love living in KC.“

“I brought a friend here for lunch to celebrate his birthday on a Monday afternoon. The table was decorated and there was a sweet “Happy Birthday” note waiting for him.

Our server, Janszen, was absolutely top-tier. Attentive without hovering, warm, professional, and perfectly timed the entire meal. The kind of service that makes you relax and just enjoy yourself.

We both ordered the 14oz KC Strip with Sam’s Mashed Potatoes, and wow! The steaks were cooked to absolute perfection, beautifully seasoned, juicy, and exactly as ordered. The mashed potatoes were rich, creamy, and indulgent in the best way.

And the strawberry (I don't like cherry's, lol) on top, even though it wasn’t my birthday, they surprised us by bringing each of us our own dessert. No sharing required. A small gesture, but it made the experience feel extra generous and celebratory.

From the food to the service to the little birthday details, everything was flawless. This is how you do hospitality. We’ll absolutely be back.“

“The food was excellent. We ordered 2 orders of crab lagoon, sweet and sour chicken and the triple delight (chicken, beef and shrimp) all with steamed rice. With the assistance of an air fryer the leftovers were as good as the day we picked it up. I was hoping they had direct delivery so my elderly folks could order it more often. They dont like subscribing to delivery services like Doordash, Uber eats, etc... and they dont have a car due to their age. My dad hasn't been eating well lately so it was a pleasure to see him gobble this delicious food up to include the leftovers. ITS A WINNER.“

“We sat at the bar (unfortunately a very large, awkwardly placed beer tap was directly in front of us). A bartender named Hayden took our orders. He was very pleasant and attentive. We were talking to a couple next to us and after we finished eating and the seat on the other side of the couple opened, I moved over there. I finished my drink and wanted another but the other bartender, Lucas who was now supposed to be taking care of us never looked our way. I finally had to get Hayden’s attention and asked him to tell Lucas I wanted a drink. But, Lucas was too busy talking to a guest on the other side of the bar. I finally got Lucas’ attention and got a drink. This kind of non attention to all guests is not acceptable in my opinion. Finally, the drink glasses are very small for the price. I’m not likely to return.

Update. We did go back and had a much better experience with Lucas. Turns out he’s a really great guy. I’m sorry I doubted you.“
