“Cinnamon roll?? Thats a cake! Tastes amazing too! Barely was able to eat a quarter of it. Pictures do not do it justice. Its huge!
Spouse had the chicken fried steak and fancy hash browns. They were good, cooked well. Just good!

At my work, we have done business with Joel and Dora, and they are the same hard-working and honest people as when they greet you at their restaurant. “Driving through from Texas to Nebraska we found Woodies BBQ on the map. We chose it because it was near a Walmart and we could park our 28ft trailer. It is a Sunday so we waited patiently in line with the church crowd. The place has an older and loved on atmosphere. A few booths and several tables scattered. The young man that took our order at the desk was very nice and gave me a good recommendation to choose Pork for my baked potato. When I got my food the cheese had not melted. No biggie. I stirred it around with the hickory barbecue sauce. It was enough for two people. My in-laws got a one meat plate with potato salad and okra and a sandwich that came with Cole slaw on top of the meat and a side of Cole slaw. All of us devoured our food. I wish I had gotten a photo to show the portion sizes. Anyway, it's a great place to stop in, eat, and leave. Just anticipate what it is. A local spot that is worn from love and good food.”

“I was recommended Knackies by someone who had hired them for catering. Kay was wonderful to work with. I work night shifts, and she didn't mind my responses being delayed. On the day of the event, she arrived early and had everything set up before it was time to start. Don't even get me started on how tender and juicy the brisket was. I've never had brisket this good. The sides I chose were also excellent. We had a larger party, and there was plenty of food. The meal included drinks and buffet maintenance. I would recommend Knackies to anyone who will listen!”

“I would like to say thank you for going above and beyond! My friend had been having a rough birthday weekend, no birthday wishes at all. We went through the drive through on Sunday for some ice cream and I had a small request of a couple people singing happy birthday to her at the window. She didn't know I was doing that. You guys delivered. I want you to know that I appreciate your service. You made her feel like a million dollars and made her day.

“The food was delicious, but the wrappings had a tendency to tear easily. So, for travelers eating in your vehicle, ask for extra napkins if you can and maybe even utensils since the sandwich buns aren't enough to contain all the ingredients. On the other hand, you get a lot of food for the price, so it was a good buy overall.”

“Today was our first experience with Slim Chickens. We arrived around 2:30 in the afternoon. We were a group of 5 who was not having the greatest of days. We had left the oncologist office (my hubby was diagnosed the day after his 64th bday with stage 4 cancer) getting the results of his first Pet scan. They weren't fabulous. Left there to go to a different place to eat that he really likes. In the process of trying to park we were in a little fender bender. Directly in the door where he was sitting. But nobody hurt thank God and very minimal damage to either car. That restaurant closed so we decided to try Slim Chickens. So very glad we got to try it!!!! First off it was spotless! Not sure who the gentleman behind the counter was but he was awesome. Several of us wanted salads and asked about the lettuce. He told us what he had but offered to chop up the different type they had if we would prefer. I am picky about my lettuce so I really really appreciated that. AND IT WAS AN AMAZING SALAD!!! I ate the whole thing!! Also the lady doing the kitchen side was GREAT too. She brought us To-go boxes without having to ask. Said if we needed anything to let her know!! The whole experience was excellent after the last few hours (and month) that we have had. Oh and the prices are very reasonable. We had 5 in our group. Everyone had a meal and drink and total bill was only $60. So if you are traveling on I35 near McPherson or live close and haven't tried there, DO IT!!! You won't be disappointed I promise!!”

“I know Hardee's in New Ulm MN has had some issues, but I went there today and was more than impressed! there were at least four people working there and they were so friendly and the food came really fast. it was fresh and hot and delicious! I can't wait to go there again, it looks like they have really pulled it together!”
