“Really cute small mom and pop cafe. Food was delicious and made hot and fresh, the staff were all smiling, laughing, and just all out super friendly. There is limited seating but we got lucky and went at the perfect time! If you are looking for some good home cooking definitely check this place out! We will be back! The place is for sale so I hope whoever buys it keeps it open!”

“I love a good bbq joint. First time here. Hubby and I Arrived right after opening. Staff was really nice. Restaurant was really clean all throughout. Kitchen was clean from what I saw. Bathrooms nice and clean. Probably one of the cleanest places I have been to in a long while.

Atmosphere was very pleasant. Good Ole country music. Bbq and good country music just go hand in hand if you ask me =)

Food was fast and delicious. Maybe 5 minutes.
I got the quarter pound pulled pork with Mac and cheese and coleslaw. 😋😋😋

“It was our first time eating here as we dont live in McPherson. They only had one server working but he was great! He gave recommendations and was quick with everything and very nice! Everything we got was fresh and delicious and a lot of food. The fried pickles were some of the best I've ever had! Will definitely be back!!”

“I came through twice today because two different friends wanted Braum’s for some weird reason. Both times I messed with my friends, inadvertently including the person taking the order, by saying i wanted cheese in the shake that was ordered, lmao. The second time we came through and got home, I HAD A SIDE OF CHEESE. I DIED LAUGHING. Thanks for kinda playing along with my joke.”

“Stopped by at this Arby’s in McPherson for a quick supper with the family on our way home to Salina. Wow. By far the friendliest staff we’ve ever had at a fast food place. The cashier seemed like he was very new to the job, but was doing a great job and very friendly. Manager was there helping out as well, which I love to see. Food was solid, especially since I haven’t had Arbys for quite over a year. Will stop back by anytime I’m in McPherson!”

“Today was our first experience with Slim Chickens. We arrived around 2:30 in the afternoon. We were a group of 5 who was not having the greatest of days. We had left the oncologist office (my hubby was diagnosed the day after his 64th bday with stage 4 cancer) getting the results of his first Pet scan. They weren't fabulous. Left there to go to a different place to eat that he really likes. In the process of trying to park we were in a little fender bender. Directly in the door where he was sitting. But nobody hurt thank God and very minimal damage to either car. That restaurant closed so we decided to try Slim Chickens. So very glad we got to try it!!!! First off it was spotless! Not sure who the gentleman behind the counter was but he was awesome. Several of us wanted salads and asked about the lettuce. He told us what he had but offered to chop up the different type they had if we would prefer. I am picky about my lettuce so I really really appreciated that. AND IT WAS AN AMAZING SALAD!!! I ate the whole thing!! Also the lady doing the kitchen side was GREAT too. She brought us To-go boxes without having to ask. Said if we needed anything to let her know!! The whole experience was excellent after the last few hours (and month) that we have had. Oh and the prices are very reasonable. We had 5 in our group. Everyone had a meal and drink and total bill was only $60. So if you are traveling on I35 near McPherson or live close and haven't tried there, DO IT!!! You won't be disappointed I promise!!”
