“My son was so excited to bring churros from his favorite bakery as his school birthday treat yesterday! It was easy to place the order by email, the churros were a great price, communication when I had questions was quick, and everything was warm, packed up, and ready to go when I arrived first thing in the morning. I work at the school and several kids came up to me throughout the day telling me these were “the best churros they had ever had”. “I come to dinner at least 2 times a week. I'm absolutely never disappointed with the food. My only complaint is one of the waitresses. I came back in August for my birthday with a group and she brought all of our food in to go containers because she "just assumed". I felt incredibly unwelcomed by this and a burden. I've still been back multiples times with many other waitresses and was never treated this way. for the most part I absolutely lovw the reat of the staff. I came back tonight and have to listen to her talk badly about customes. Have to listen to the bartender tell her what she could be cleaning on her down time while she turns around and makes a remark and a smirk. Get rid of that one!”

It's small and frequented by all the locals that know good Mexican food, so the Clientele will be speaking primarily Spanish, but english ordering is possible with a bit of menu pointing. The owner and staff are there running things, so your return visits will always be greeted with familiar smiling faces. Good prices round out this amazing hidden topeka dining experience.”

“I cannot recommend Shana cakes enough! my husband surprised me with a cake for my 30th birthday. He had difficulty finding a bakery near us that could make a gluten free cake, he called and messaged several bakeries and no one would get back with him except for Shana cakes. They were super understanding and accommodating. The cake was AMAZING. I was diagnosed with celiac disease a year ago and cake was one of the big things I missed. Not anymore, this was just as good as any gluten containing cake I've ever had. It was so delicious, I can't wait to order another one!”

“A good thing about living off Highway 24 is the easy access to fire authentic Mexican food from the Oakland area. Stopped in for their smoky grilled pollos asados. Such a simple dish in principle, yet you would be hard pressed to find anyone else doing it with such care. The deep, smoky exterior only comes with time and a commitment to doing it right.A modest building that I unfortunately overlooked for years. I won't make that mistake again. Looking forward to sampling the rest of their menu.”
