“My family enjoyed a New years meal here at Lanna Thai restaurant, it is a small cozy restaurant with flavorful dishes. We got the Thai basil wings, fried fish, pad thai, and green curry. The Thai basil wings were good but I would like more basil flavor to it. Overall good service and food“
“My wife and I was heading to a different BBQ place when we stumbled upon this place. First off, the staff is amazing and friendly. We decided to start off with the Pulled pork egg rolls, let me tell you, these were amazing and the best egg rolls I've had. The smoke flavor from the pork really comes through and the sweet and sour sauce has a nice little kick to it. For our entrees, we both went with the 2 meat bbq meal, I had the pork belly and Thai sausage and the wife had the pull pork and brisket and we both got the Mac n cheese along with the jasmine rice it comes with. First off, you get a lot of food. The meat is spread over top the rice and it really goes well together. Our favorite was the heavenly pork, it had a nice smokey flavor with a little bit of sweetness to it. The brisket was juicy and tender and overall well smoked. My 2nd favorite was the Pork belly. Think bacon but much thicker and seemed deep fried? It was amazing but even better dip in the BBQ sauce. The sausage had nice flavors to it, one that sticks out was the lemongrass. It paired really well with the Tiger cry sauce, which is nice and spicy. Lastly, the Mac n cheese, it was delicious, the cheese sauce was creamy and smooth with a little spice. Think Velveeta and white cheddar. Overall this was a fantastic meal, one my wife was hesitant about at first but was amazed on how great the food was and we can't wait to go back and try the other items on the menu of what I would describe as Thai infused bbq. Well done Buck Tui BBQ.“
“We went to Bamboo Penny's last night. The menu has a lot of choices. Started out with a Soju Colada. It's a pina colada.. Another couple and their 18 month old daughter joined us. The staff and our waiter were fabulous. The couple had brought a high chair to attached to the table. The waiter helped try and get it to fasten to the table along with the father. The two couldn't get it to work so the waiter promptly got a high chair. The couple had brought some food for the little one to nibble. When that was gone, the waiter brought over some diced mango and diced strawberries for the little one. It wasn't ordered. An extreme thoughtful gesture. The food was delicious.“
“The BEST THAI FOOD we've ever had! Hands down. Bonus points...the staff are amazing, down to earth and enjoyable to be around, plus the whole atmosphere of the place is lovely. Had a drink while we waited for the food to be made. Lots of orders going out the door. This place is a hot spot for good eats. We ordered the Pad Thai, Pho, Treasure Bags, and more. This place can accommodate vegetarian and gluten free dietary restrictions too. Fill-up foodies, it's worth it. We'll be back. HH“
“Great food and great service! You’re greeted as soon as you walk in the door. The menu has many tasty options. The grapow is delicious, as is the pineapple rice. But the curry’s are fire! The red curry is my go to, but they all hit the spot. Go check them out.“
“I enjoyed this restaurant. First time here and it was a wonderful experience. Good location. Plenty of parking. Service was very good. Food was delicious. Restaurant was very clean. I liked that the owner was very friendly. I would definitely come back and would recommend this place if you’re craving Thai food.“
“This was the best on a whim order I have ever had! I used to work at a sushi restaurant. My boss and co-workers were Laotian. We would have lunch that the boss made everyday and had always wished I could find somewhere that came close to his food. To my surprise I came across this on door dash and couldn’t wait to try! 10/10 would recommend anything on their menu and I will be ordering again and often!“
“This place is fantastic! I had sent a message via FB to ask a question about their menu and they responded back almost immediately. I have food allergies and I know most Thai food is gluten free but wanted to check. they were so help informing me what I could have and even messaged me back that they received my order and had it started. I highly recommend this place on customer service alone.“
“I got the avocado cucumber sushi roll, the Thai spring rolls(veganized with tofu), and the pineapple fried rice(also veganized with tofu). The sushi was delicious and tasted very fresh; it wasn’t anything too noteworthy but if you want a plant based option and you’re in the area, I definitely recommend . The Thai spring rolls alone were very underwhelming but they easily became my favorite item, that I ordered, when I tried them with the paired peanut butter sauce; the combination of the sweet and savory sauce with the fresh veggies in the roll were absolutely amazing. The pineapple fried rice was something I decided to try that was out of my comfort zone, as I am a “pineapple doesn’t belong on pizza” person and that applies to any form of warm pineapple, but I was happy I took the chance. The pineapple paired very well with the savory flavor of the fried rice and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I loved the dish; the only thing I think would make it better were if the pineapple chunks were just a bit smaller. The customer service was excellent, I was promptly assisted at the door (I did a walk in order for takeout) and taken to put in my order immediately; my order was made quickly and they were sure to provide me with utensils and soy sauce in my bag. The restaurant’s seating looked very comfortable and the ambiance was very welcoming. If I ever pass through Kansas City again, I’d definitely stop in to try more of their menu items because they seem to be very good at what they do. If you’re vegetarian or vegan looking for a spot that won’t disappoint then this is definitely the place for you!Vegetarian options: They had a whole section for vegan options, making it easy to order. The veggie options come with the meat replacements being either veggies or tofu, really allowing you to customize your meal to your preference.“
“Wow! This is a good find! The entrance from the street wasn't impressive, since it seemed always empty inside. Yet, I finally found out the restaurant is long shape/hour glass?!(lol), accessible from farmer's market/parking, actually spacious with bar counter and big 2 tvs which broadcasted Chief's victory parade. Today's soup was flavorful with sweetness, bitterness, sourness and spices. So was my pineapple curry! A server was nice. It looks Valentine's flowers and balloons are available with purchase. I definitely back again and over again!“
“Loved it. Our server was really nice in making sure we got everything and was very considerate the entire time we were there. We aren't local and are from Seattle and really enjoyed the food. The purple really tied everything to make a nice atmosphere. We walked in as a group of 8 on a Saturday night.“
“A special place with special food. We got the chud laab (pictured) from the lanna platters and it was incredible! Definitely going to come back on a special occasion and get the biggest one. Alongside this, we also got the coconut yellow curry to try as our main and it was SO delicious! We also got the miang khum appetizer and it was so fun making little leaf wraps with all the dishes of dried shrimp, ginger, nuts, lime, etc. Everything was delicious, and beautiful, a true culinary delight! Two of us split all of this and we both brought boxes home.“
“The place was clean, the service was courteous. I usually go with Pad Thai when it comes with Thai restaurant, because it's so common. This time I decided to try Panang beef curry with medium spicy level, which claimed to be most popular curry, my son ordered Gapow. I think my choice was correct, the curry was creamy with delicious coconut milk and peanut panang sauce, it's perfect companion for the rice. Gapow had nice flavor of basil, but I like Panang curry better. There are plenty of parking spaces nearby.“
“The most amazing Thai Ragoons I have ever had!The Pad Thai (mild) had no spice if you are sensitive to spicy and want a good baseline to gauge. Also, a perfect way to end your mealtime is with a cup of hot Thai Tea (there is no sugar in it or sweetener and it’s perfect).Highly recommend and I will be back again soon as well as spread the word about this place!“
“Didn't know this place had a buffet until someone told me. The lunch buffet wasn't bad. You get a variety of Thai food from their menu, with a lot of different meat options with the dishes. Food was hot still at the buffet table. Service was good. The interior was spacious!“
“Came here for my brothers birthday & it was good! We got a variation of things, but to name a few, we ordered the crab rangoon, pad Thai, and seafood fried rice. All tasted great along with the fruit punch! Service was spectacular. Our waitress was very attentive and helpful. My only complaint would be that it has limited seating if you're going with a large group, but other than that, overall, it's a great place!“
“If you are ever in Kansa City you have to go here! This is not only the absolute best Thai I’ve had in Missouri, it is quite possibly the best Thai I’ve ever had! Bubble tea is yummy (we had honeydew and taro flavors and both we equally amazing). Crab Rangoon was craveable. Now let’s talk about the PANANG CURRY…it was so good that we didn’t want to eat it so it would always be with us!“
“Delicious food and very nice decor inside the restaurant! The Taiwanese style egg rolls were delicious, and Thai wings were very tasty but had a little bit dry meat. Loved the lad na noodles - very unique Thai noodle dish that I haven’t had at other Thai restaurants. Service was excellent as well. Highly recommend!“
“Compared to the Crossroads location, I liked that this location is quieter and staff members are friendlier. The food was flavorful and good portion sized as always, although it's always a hit or miss with the spice levels depending on the day/who is cooking I think.Vegetarian options: Tofu as Protein option for dishes“
“I tried their signature Pad Thai noodles and green curry, both bursting with delicious flavors and fresh ingredients. The portion sizes were generous, and the dishes were beautifully presented. The staff were knowledgeable about the menu and offered helpful suggestions.Lulu's Thai Noodle Shop exceeded our expectations and left us eager to return for more tasty Thai dishes.“
“Incredible selection of food. Diverse, flavorful. Gluten free and vegetarian options. Seasonal menu as well. The staff was incredibly gracious and kind. Great atmosphere. We ordered the Pepper Basil Beef (best thing ever) and the Pad Thai (WONDERFUL). The cocktail selection was superb. Old Fashioned with a rose ice cube! How cool.Glad this location is in Overland Park! We are new regulars!“
“I'm a huge fan of Thai food. I eat a lot of it throughout the week. Also, I travel a lot for work and so I get many different kinds of Thai throughout the country. Thai Orchid is a very solid restaraunt. Their atmosphere is inviting and cozy. The workers and chef are as friendly as could be.The food is very good. It's consistent and the ingriedents taste fresh. I believe their chef is from Thailand and the ingriedents are as close to authentic as you can get outside of Thailand (I learned some of this in a cooking class that they host every so often). Overall, very solid food. I highly recommend giving them a try.“
