“Prairie Fire is a great place to spend an afternoon. The winery is set in a great location showcasing the prairie. The wines are exceptionally good and include many styles to suit everyone. Highly recommend for locals looking for a relaxing weekend trip and those traveling 70. It’s a quick stop off the interstate.”

I ordered a ham and egg breakfast burrito, a small mocha and a canned pineapple coconut drink. “The pizza at Gambinos was good, kids liked the sauce and cheese. We all felt the crust was a little on the soft side and could have used just a bit longer or hotter through the roller oven.

I enjoyed my visit today. I purchased a combo meal for under $8.50... THAT'S UNHEARD OF during these recessed times! Most meals will be $12+, and that is insane!

My double hamburger, cheese, with the works was SUPER tasty. The side is usually French fries, but if you want to swap with onion rings, other places charge extra. But to my delight, they didn't charge me!

So the onion rings were excellent, and it also came with an 8oz soft drink.

I even got my food super fast and hot!

Needless to say, I'm going back when I drive out to Wamego again. (Next time, I'll get some mouth-watering pics.)

Parking: There was a sufficient amount of parking spaces.

Kid-friendliness: Kids have yummy options, too, that won't break the bank.”

“It may have been empty of customers when my SO and I went there earlier today around 4 pm, but that didn't change the pleasant mellow historic atmosphere of the building. The food was delicious, I had a barbecue Mac and cheese wrap with pulled pork, and my SO had the Dagwood sandwich. Let me tell you, the first look I got at that sandwich had me wanting to try it the next time I go. The BBQ mac n cheese wrap was grilled perfection, the spiral cut macaroni blended perfectly with the pork, and there was both a subtle heat to it as well as a nice rounded sweetness to it once you get past the mild spiciness. I had a side of warm potato salad, and it did not disappoint. It was a good choice for the weather we were having at the time (overcast but not too chilly). Will definitely go again. Prices aren't too terrible, everything comes with a side, the drinks are the only thing separate from the meal. Lots of yummy options had me warring between what to get. Definitely worth a visit, whether you are a Wamego native or visiting from out of town.”

“I got 2 burgers and a strawberry slush. The burgers were fine but my strawberry slushie was “frozen frozen.” All they did was place the strawberries on top of the frozen slush mix. It’s like drinking the blast ice cream with a straw.”
