“The Town Topic Hamburgers early morning 5am crowd is truly one of the last great American dining experiences. The three egg cheese omelet with shatteringly crispy perfectly cooked hash browns was a transcendent experience, and I wasn’t even hungover. The atmosphere and professional staff lend further into the experience as one that is both memorable and delicious all around.“

“Absolutely PHENOMENAL!!! Our group of 14 arrived here today at the Shawnee location for lunch. We were met by friendly staff and seated right away. Once we ordered our food, it arrived quickly! We were impressed! All 14 orders were correct, served hot and fresh, and so good!! Great size portions! The service was absolutely great! Refills were quick. The atmosphere is so fun! We all enjoyed our food arriving by train. The kids had a great time. and only 2 little ones had a nugget and few fries left. Everyone devoured their food. It's definitely a must experience! We will definitely be back! ☆☆☆☆☆“

“In August 2021, Hamburger Mary's Kansas City reported that the establishment would require proof of COVID-19 vaccination. I assumed the requirement had been lifted; however, I wanted to be sure I was prepared (I am vaccinated; my friend is not). Not to mention, I work in an academic/healthcare setting where masks & vaccination status are a daily consideration, so it's something still on my mind. Therefore, I sent Hamburger Mary's a very quick question via Facebook. Attached is a photo of the response I received. My question was in no way impolite, so I'm not sure why the business felt the need to say anything other than no. I'm not easily offended, but I also don't appreciate being spoken to in such a snarky manner for what I considered a perfectly reasonable & respectful question. I was really looking forward to visiting (and donating to a worthy cause!), but I have decided to celebrate my birthday elsewhere.“

“Date night. Great place to go. Huge selection of drinks and awesome food. I had a salad with salmon that was one of the vest salads i have ever had and my boyfriend had a bourbon burger and said it was "perfect". We had the loaded spud app and shared the pretzel dessert....the best beginning and ending we could want. Our server, Heather, was so sweet and talked us through a lot of our options. She was super attentive. We will definitely be heading back!“

Crispy exterior, delicious fluffy interior. If they had an array of sauces like those pommes frites places, they could just be serving fries, they are that good. Did not disappoint. Will be back. Depending on which way the wind is blowing you might get some funky smells from the city market trash cans, and your drinks are behind you, not where you order your burgers. “Food is really good. Not much more you can expect from a fast food burger and shake shop. Plenty of great choices and different ways to customize your burger or sandwich. Lots of great sauces and sides. Aswell of course fantastic concrete and shakes with tons of ways to customize your dessert. Always friendly and fast service at this location.“

“Checked out the place because I loved what I had seen online. I was greeted promptly and efficiently at the hostess stand. I was quickly seated. I reviewed the menu and my server greeted me quickly. I asked her for her recommendation. She suggested the bourbon glaze burger. The burger was juicy flavorful and well seasoned. The server was available but not pushy. The manager also checked to be sure things were satisfactory. The place is very clean and the staff is very friendly. I will definitely return. If i were to make one suggestion, it would to not put all the garnish on the bottom bun.“

Food: UNREAL! So unique and tasty. The chorizo was so good we asked if we could buy it (you can!). As a sweet plantain lover, I was so excited to get them on a burger. This has to be in the conversation for best burger in Kansas City.

“Ordered buffalo tenders and got regular
on my way to work. Didn't realize it until I started eating in the car. I called to get a replacement. I was told to keep the regular tenders until after my shift and replace with the correct. I was hungry and of course ate before my shift. Partially my fault because I did not check my order before I left. Anthony at the window had great customer service food was good just not what I ordered. The male I spoke to on the phone was close minded to a mistake even being made. I wish this review had the option for me to upload a photo.“

A dynamite waitress, sweet and so accommodating of whatever we asked. No goofs even with this huge group. And……..I brought two special occasion pies for dessert. She put them in the cooler. “We have been coming here for years. It's a place we always take people when they visit Kansas City; it's such a fun little experience. The ambiance is super cool, but it's also pretty chill. I never feel rushed when I'm in there, and we always have great customer service. I've seen a lot of reviews about the food, and they've surprised me. We actually really like the food, especially for the prices. Where else in Kansas City are you going to get a single patty burger for so cheap? We can normally feed our family of three for $30, or a little bit more if we get dessert. Is it a gourmet burger? Absolutely not. Is it a simple, diner burger, with a pretty decent taste and a really cheap price? Yes. Strange thing to suggest, but I really like the chili burgers. The chili is different, and adds an interesting flavor.“

“Great spot for a bacon cheeseburger. The portion is a litte on the smaller side but they make up for it in flavor. I was pleasantly satisfied afterwards and it is just the right amount of food to keep you going without weighing you down or making you feel like you need a nap.
