We all enjoyed our food arriving by train. The kids had a great time. and only 2 little ones had a nugget and few fries left. Everyone devoured their food. It's definitely a must experience! “In August 2021, Hamburger Mary's Kansas City reported that the establishment would require proof of COVID-19 vaccination. I assumed the requirement had been lifted; however, I wanted to be sure I was prepared (I am vaccinated; my friend is not). Not to mention, I work in an academic/healthcare setting where masks & vaccination status are a daily consideration, so it's something still on my mind. Therefore, I sent Hamburger Mary's a very quick question via Facebook. Attached is a photo of the response I received. My question was in no way impolite, so I'm not sure why the business felt the need to say anything other than no. I'm not easily offended, but I also don't appreciate being spoken to in such a snarky manner for what I considered a perfectly reasonable & respectful question. I was really looking forward to visiting (and donating to a worthy cause!), but I have decided to celebrate my birthday elsewhere.“

“Date night. Great place to go. Huge selection of drinks and awesome food. I had a salad with salmon that was one of the vest salads i have ever had and my boyfriend had a bourbon burger and said it was "perfect". We had the loaded spud app and shared the pretzel dessert....the best beginning and ending we could want. Our server, Heather, was so sweet and talked us through a lot of our options. “Checked out the place because I loved what I had seen online. I was greeted promptly and efficiently at the hostess stand. I was quickly seated. I reviewed the menu and my server greeted me quickly. I asked her for her recommendation. She suggested the bourbon glaze burger. The burger was juicy flavorful and well seasoned. The server was available but not pushy. The manager also checked to be sure things were satisfactory. The place is very clean and the staff is very friendly. I will definitely return. If i were to make one suggestion, it would to not put all the garnish on the bottom bun.“

“Absolutely love Tartaretas! It’s the closest we’ve found to being back in Colombia without leaving Kansas. The food is consistently incredible, the portions are generous, and you’ll definitely leave full. This small, family-owned restaurant is a true hidden gem.

The family and staff are always warm, welcoming, and attentive. The cozy dining room feels like you’ve stepped into a neighborhood restaurant in Colombia. From the Colombian music playing in the background to the aroma of authentic dishes and fresh drinks, the entire experience is immersive.

We visit Tartaretas nearly every week for our little taste of Colombia close to home. My wife is Colombian, and after traveling there many times to visit her family, we’ve come to appreciate what authentic Colombian food should taste like. Tartaretas captures that authenticity beautifully. The family recognizes us every time we visit, and we’ll happily keep coming back whenever we’re craving a genuine taste of Colombia. “Came for my son's request Birthday dinner. Felt rushed, server kept trying too remove my wife's plate even though she wasn't finished. Called at 12:30pm and asked for a table ahead of time was told that the person that took my call would speak with the manager on that shift and would take care of the table request. Even said the time we would be attending. Didn't get that table that was requested. I understand that it is a first come first service situation. But was not told that when I called. I can say I am never disappointed when we come here. But this time Didn't feel the same way as we usually just show up. Food was great and my son was not disappointed.“

“Lauren was outstanding!!!!!! We had a group of 12 …….I made the reservation. Our tables were tucked so we could chat and not be in the mainstream. A dynamite waitress, sweet and so accommodating of whatever we asked. No goofs even with this huge group. And……..I brought two special occasion pies for dessert. She put them in the cooler.
