“They were only taking orders through the drive though or you could go in and order through the kiosk. The didn't bring the food out, you had to wait for it up in the front, which was fine. I'm sure they were short staffed. The food was prepared and we had no complaints. You were able to get your own drinks. The inside of the store was pretty clean. The Christmas Tree was awesome with boxes put on it from McDonalds.“
“Absolutely wonderful dining experience! The restaurant was clean and bright, and the staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. The Ruben sandwich (marinated jackfruit, sauerkraut, vegan cheese and dressing on toasted bread) was delicious. The Baja tacos (marinated heart of palm with an amazing slaw and the best guacamole I've ever had) were probably the best tacos I've ever eaten! I'm thrilled that they also have a huge GLUTEN FREE selection, including breads and all items clearly marked GF (if they are) and a dedicated GF menu. I will be eating here regularly! I'd give this place 100 stars if I could. Updated from previous review on 2024-03-12“
“I came to this place I brought a large bill which they didn't have change instead of sending me to another place or instead of running me away. To another place. They were simply professionals, they gave me the food. I can say that because they didn't charge me and they didn't tell me to go get change, so it's a great place. You can come with your family or friends, they are the best burgers in the world.“
“We dined here back in July of 2023. Loved the location, atmosphere, and food here. Some creative twists on comfort foods that we really enjoyed. Specifically the fried portobello sandwich was great, with a nice contrast of textures and flavors. Shout out to the fried chicken sandwich which also was well prepared and tasty. We also had the gespacho watermelon/tomato soup which was super refreshing. The drinks were okay but expensiveThe elote tater tots were tasty, but not as reminiscent of the flavoring as we expected. Overall was a positive experience for us when we dined in.“
“Seriously the best carne asada & pastor tacos I have had! We tried this place for the first time last weekend - we live right down the street. We have ate here THREE more times because I can’t get their tacos off of my mind. Can’t wait to try their Tortas next! ?“
“Came here at 4:30 and it was already getting busy. Was seated right away. Cute sports bar/restaurant. Like most sports bars it can get loud. We were greeted right away by the friendly wait staff. I ordered an impossible burger. It had white cheddar, shaved lettuce, wild mushrooms, pickles, and Sriracha aïoli. I don't often see it served at restaurants so I'll usually order it when I see it. You had a choice to get fries or sweet potato waffle fries. I chose the sweet potato waffle fries. A little extra charge to get those. Also had some beignets. Super good comes with 2 dipping sauces. Chocolate and vanilla. Yum. I'll probably be back to try other things on the menu that I was eyeing.“
“We stopped in because we saw so many other good reviews. You have two options for ordering. Order at the counter, or scan the QR code and order directly from your table (love that option). We tried two different burgers, the Blueberry Stout burger and the Prohibition Burger. We loved them both but the Prohibition burger edged out the Blueberry stout in our opinion. This burger is messy, but delicious. Covered in swiss cheese, thick cut bacon, arugula, avocado and bourbon carnalized onions. We also loved the fries. You have your choice of dipping sauces. We got honey mustard and drunken ketchup. Both were good. You also have a good choice of local beers and spirits to choose from.I might just vote these as the best burgers in KC. Not a cheap option, but the quality makes it worth it.“
“I would highly recommend this place to anyone in the area. The kitchen was super clean. Thus place is well oiled machine. I had the pleasure of meeting the manager Matt. Very nice gentleman super kind, and respectful. So if your in the area go check them out.“
“Amazing place! The wings were an absolute hit! Definitely a fun spin on tradition wings. We had the honey chipotle flavor and it was so good! We couldn’t get enough! Our burgers were awesome! They’re big, juicy, flavorful! Everything you want in a burger! Service was great! Cece was so pleasant and kind! Absolute sweet heart. Definitely should add this place to your list!“
“This is the Nashville Hot Chicken and Waffle. It’s perfectly seasoned for KC flavor: a little bit of heat and a little bit of sweet. The breading is light, yet still crunchy. Along with a white mayo-based bbq sauce, it’s served over a cornbread waffle with maple syrup and a bed of greens. Perfectly balanced. I recommend it alongside a limeade for a perfect bright kick. My friends likewise recommend their sandwiches. We’ll definitely be back when we return to the KC City Market.“
“Welcome to Helen's JAD (Just Another Dive)! Known for their wings and late night kitchen, Helen's is one of the few late night spots in KC where you can get food at the end of a fun night on the town.FOODI had the All-American Burger ?. It was quite tasty and I definitely recommend it. My friend had the wings and said they were delicious as well. We didn't try the pizza but that will definitely be my pick if I end up back there.SERVICEOur food came out quickly and our server seemed cool/nice. They made sure to ask if we wanted another drink as soon as we polished off the last. No complaints there!ATMOSPHEREAppropriately named (Just Another Dive), the atmosphere at Helen's was that of a generic dive. The music wasn't for me tbh. It was mostly classic rock tunes i hadn't heard in years (and wouldn't have minded keeping it that way) mixed with modern country which just ain't my vibe, but also, it's Kansas City so what do you expect? This definitely isn't like one of the more artsy, hipster, service industry dives in Chez's, Hillsiders, or even Easy Inn but those dives are few and far between in KC anyway. There was lots of sports stuff and generic beer marketing posters everywhere which felt pretty bland. I will say the patio was really nice though and a good patio is always important.Overall, I'd swing by again for a late night slice of pizza and a quick drink at the end of the night. The food was delicious, drinks were alright, service was good, and people were nice enough, atmosphere wasn't for me really. I'd go back for the food, food service, and the patio!“
“Literally one of the best burger spots in all of Kansas City. The owner Jim is one of the nicest & generous owners I've ever come across. Strongly recommend this spot for all my burger lovers. I promise you won't be able to finish it :)“
“It is a very good restraunt their service is impeccable Chick-fil-A has nothing on them they are the best I also suggest getting custard or butterburgers they are so very good!?Kid-friendliness: It Is very kid friendly they even have jokes on the kids meal bags the hospitality is over the roof which is why I think all the staff is better than the whole company of Chick-fil-A.“
“Customer service and the atmosphere was a comfortable vibe all in it's self... Fresh meat on the grill the burgers are nice and crispy on the outside and the tender juicy meat on the inside and the bread with the works great texture and allot of flavor... Onion ring was it's this world... The then crispy batter seasoned just right and the onions fully cooked threw... Great job“
“This has got to be one of the best dive bar burger joints in America. WARNING it’s kid friendly. Which isn’t always the vibe I want. Don’t pass it up. Also check out the story about the serial killer that used to sell there. Interesting stuff.“
“Food was very good portions could be a little bigger. while we were their our server got a large party so we got lost in the shuffle but other than that I would definitely recommend & go back. Red velvet icing was a little lemony so don't like it very much.“
“Heads up this is on the industrial side and it could startle people but I love the location it's safe enough just don't leave your car running or unlocked and you'll be fine. Anyways THESE SANDWICHES ARE AMAZING FOR $9 AND THE FRIES ARE FANTASTIC! you're wasting your life if you don't eat this once a “
“Not only was the cheeseburger I was served a perfect example of a smashburger, but the charming interior decor makes you feel like you've taken a ride in a time machine back to the 1950s. There's a very nice family-friendly vibe going on. Highly recommend.“
“We just went to Murphys corner tonight and I am so impressed! The food, the service, and the atmosphere was top notch! The waitress Lynn was so attentive and nice!!!! She made great food suggestions! Jessica, the owner, came over and introduced herself and was so genuinely interested to hear how our experience was. They were both just the sweetest people!!!! We will definitely be back!!! And my dad bought a Murphy's Corner shirt and loves it! Thanks again Jessica and Lynn!“
“The restaurant's shrimp dish is a winner – succulent, well-seasoned, and perfectly cooked. The flavors are a delightful balance, with a hint of freshness from the accompanying herbs. It's a seafood delight that leaves a lasting impression.Parking: Good“
“The ladies serve very reluctantly... it seems that one is going to order them on credit or for free... the food is excellent, I love the Juarez combo... but the service of the two tall thin ladies is terrible... I describe them that way because I don't know their names.“
“Ok—. I love down the street and have gotten carry out a handful of times. My experience has not always been the best, and I feel like I have always given the place a little bit of grace because I order carry out and not dine in.My order and experience was exceptional. I really wanted a few things so I got fish and chips, a burger, which then came with both fries and tater tots, and I ordered an Appetizer of fried mushrooms. The fried mushrooms were fried to perfection, and came with a ranch dipping sauce, which was awesome, which was house made. The hamburger which I ordered the meat to be medium was 100% medium cooked and was delicious. The tater tots were crispy, the fish and chips was delicious. The fish was perfect. The only thing I missed for the fish and chips was tartar sauce. When I got to the restaurant, I somehow felt like they would have missed the malt vinegar so I specifically asked for a side of malt vinegar which they gave me, but then there was no tartar sauce. So honestly if I would have not requested the malt vinegar, sadly, there would have been no malt vinegar and no tartar sauce. At least I got the malt vinegar. Tartar sauce was missing. Everything else was awesome and my to go experience today was finally the experience that I wanted to have with this restaurant. Not sure what time will be like because it’s kind of a cra shoot and not always this awesome, but today was great. Yay!“
“A wonderful Irish pub just a ways down the way from KU Med. A good place to go and see a game. They have a few traditional favorites on the menu as well as usual pub faire. We hit this place once or twice a month and ate never disappointed.“
“First time there. We both had the Cuban sandwich and one side of fries to go.The gentleman behind the counter was very nice. The food was great, and the fries were still pretty warm by the time we finally got home. The only semi-negative is that it was difficult for my husband, who is currently using a walker due to surgery, to get up the stairs at the entrance. We will definitely stop again.“
“Visited Smitty's for a Sunday lunch: we ordered the Thunder Fries and the Sweet Oklahoma burger ($8.79). The service was very quick and the food especially tasty. The burgers are à la cart, so you have to buy fries extra but they are very shareable. Our bartender was very friendly and responsive. Compared with other locally-owned burger restaurants, today's experience was exceptional in the areas of creativity, taste, and service.“
“We went during drag bingo. It was playful, fun, and the food was better than I expected. We got the wagyu burger and enjoyed it. It was very juicy and we had the funnel stick fries which were so good! Overall, we had a very enjoyable evening. Will be back.“
“I think the selling point is the giant patio, which I imagine is placed just right for those hot sunny days when you want a cold drink outside. While there on a cold night, you still get a nice comfortable interior that’s welcoming and friendly. The foods good and plentiful, the sound levels aren’t overly loud so you can still talk to yourself and be heard. Haha.. the secret tip here is they have a shuffleboard! Good place to go eat!“
“I really enjoyed the steak dinner special they have! Well cooked, well served! The atmosphere is ideal if you're looking for that sports crowd energy. I mean pop a shot in the bar, go get it!Parking: It's downtown, be ready to walk a little.“
“Excellent food! I had the North Town Burger with cheddar, cooked medium.Best burger I've had in years. Curly fries cooked to perfection. Wife had Santa Fe Chicken Wrap, and was very impressed. Will definitely return. Oh, and the amount of sports memorabilia is truly off the wall and insane.“
“After reading the reviews online about how good the onion rings were, I decided to give them a try. I had the Bleu Burger, onion rings with a shake. I can honestly say that's the best burger combo I've had since living in kc since 2003. This is my new spot.“
“There are some places you wish you can give no stars too, and some you wish you can just give more , this is definitely a place I would give more stars, From start to finish service was great the food was exceptional very tasty none dry burger fresh veggies and the bun was excellent the Fries were crispy and made to order just very great loved it all Thank you guys here’s a picture it looks and taste Really good!“
“Our server was Dillon and the pork tenderloin was amazing! Warning it’s huge but also tender and tasty. We thought Dillon was the owner because he was so attentive to service. Turns out he’s not an owner just has high standards! We will be Back.“
“I absolutely LOVE Cosmo Burger. It’s the quintessential Smashburger. Always consistent, and don’t sleep on those tots, either… Easily, my favorite burger in Kansas City. 10/10. One of the managers, Joe, who was working was super personable and helpful. Love this spot!“
“Good food, exceptional service and convenient location. I ordered the taco salad to go and it was so nice to have a tortilla bowl that was not soggy from all the grease. Great job!!Kid-friendliness: Have taken our kids there several times and they love it.“
“This is an absolutely great place to take a family or even a group of school kids. As far as quality of food and service I would say it's fairly lacking. I was hoping for much better things as far as food but unfortunately did not receive that here. Unless it was on a School field trip or something like that I would probably not go back again honestly.Vegetarian options: Not vegetarian friendly“
“Taps on Main is a go-to spot for my husband and I in Kansas City! It’s a fun little bar and grill and they have a nice beer selection that you can pour yourself! It brings me an absurd amount of joy that they have a bunch of little taster glasses so I can try multiple beers in one sitting without being hammered. Lol. Such a fun experience for beer lovers!“
“this is the 2nd time we have been here each time we have been here the burgers are the best we have ever eaten, they were seasoned perfectly, you can here the burgers sizzling on the flames as they cook them, they are hands down the best burgers and sides we have ever “
“Lew's staff is awesome! Sheady always has her head on a swivel, no such thing as an empty glass. Katie is another example of attention to detail... The list goes on. I have never had a bad experience with my time spent at Lew's. Fish and Chris have done an exceptional job hiring quality!“
“First time I was there since it changed hands. No more bottled wine. They charged me $6 for house merlot. Small plastic bottles - the kind you can buy a 4-pack in a liquor store for the same price. No bottled wine. Big downer. Food/service were very good.“
“Every single time I go here, the experience is fantastic. They have great staff, no matter who is working. The food is wonderful. I especially recommend the cheddar burger! The prices are phenomenal compared to other waldo bars. The drinks are also also quite good.“
“Absolutely amazing food, very nice staff, and clean establishment. We had the macaroni and cheese jalapeño bites, fried mushrooms, and half a dozen oysters for our appetizers. Everything came out quickly and was so good. Between my group we had the fried pickle sandwich, guacamole burger, and chicken wrap along with sides of fries and onion rings. Everything was delicious and the portions were perfect. Our server, Marin, helped us when we had questions about the menu and was very attentive and kind, she really made the experience great. This is definitely a new favorite and I’d recommend this restaurant to anyone in a heartbeat.“
“I went in expecting a standard neighborhood bar but was surprised with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The drinks and service was fantastic. Melissa was the best womanager and ran the restaraunt with nothing but class. Madeline was an absolute treat, she was so kind and polite, it felt like I've known her for years.“
“Stopped by Town Topic today after going to the Auto Show. I wanted a good old fashioned dinner burger. The place was packed, service was fast and friendly, food was fantastic. The onion rings and cheese burger were prefect. The pie was to die for. Well done you guys!Parking: Small parking lot, hard to find a parking spot. But, the food is worth it.“
“Excellent food! Fresh hot, flavorful, and crispy!!! I got the 6 party wings with 1/2 lbs catfish strips. The wings were really good in size, juicy, flavorful. They were sauced in Buffalo. The Buffalo sauce was smooth, velvety, and not too strong. Tasted more than the typical salt and vinegar. It was really good and paired well with the chicken seasoning. The fish was also crispy and flavorful. I opted to get a side of the Buffalo sauce to dip. Delish! The tartar and ranch were average in taste. I prefer a sweeter spicier tarter though. I have eaten here 3 times now. Service and food are both consistently excellent. Thank ya'll for the entire experience. Love the outdoor seating and friendly faces!“
“This store has the best staff in Overland Park. The store is always spotless. They have always gone out of their way to make sure I have a good experience.Five guys has the best friesDietary restrictions: They have peanuts all over for you to eat“
“The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the prices were reasonable. It was an exceptional meal!Parking: Easy parking is available.Kid-friendliness: The children enjoyed their delightful meals, and they were particularly delighted when they received their large milkshake for sharing amongst each other. The best part was when they sang their famous milkshake song! The children had a great time as well as the adults. ??????Wheelchair accessibility: I am quite certain that they had accessibility features for wheelchairs.“
“After hearing great things about their fish dinner we decided to try. I had the Alaskan Cod. It was very moist and tasty. The breading was good but they left it in then fryer a tad too long. Fries were crunchy and good. Coleslaw was delicious. My wife had the shrimp dinner with onion rings. She loved it. Then onion rings were really thin but pretty good. Service was great. Definitely will be back.“
“The food was tasty. Our server made us feel at home. It is a fun unique atmosphere. You feel like you have privacy even though you're in the middle of Union Station.Parking: If you park in garage you just need to get your ticket validated to have free parking.“
“Location is great! Really like the burgers though- tons of options for any palate. The devils’ eggs are delicious.. I’d almost sell my soul for em! Alllmost.. I mean it’s just an egg and burger right? I felt like they captured more than just an egg and burger in the scope of what they make. Definitely a must try in KC!“
“I hadn't been to Buger King in a hot minute, because the area I moved from had a horrible one. So, Roeland Park, what ya got? I grabbed a bite on my way from work & was pleasantly surprised. I may go here on occasion now. Glad I gave it a shot. Was not disappointed.“
