Found this new restaurant in Salina. We love Mexican food and saw La Morenita’s while driving down Westport Blvd. Thought we’d try it out and we were not disappointed. Cool atmosphere, very attentive staff and really good food. Give it a try. We’ll be back.
The food was excellent and the service, atmosphere and friendly staff was also great. Had a family gathering and everyone was pleased also. Highly recommend.
Husband and I went for a weekend lunch date and it was SO good! They have large portions and our waitress and the rest of the staff were so sweet! They were fairly busy, but service was quick. We will definitely be returning and are anxious to try their Sunday buffet!

La Morenita Mexican Restaurant is a hidden gem and a great place for Mexican food right off I-135. The dining area is spacious, clean, bright, and comfortable. The food is fresh, abundant, very tasty, and always hot, offering a different and welcomed flavor. Portions are large and good.
The salsa is amazing and very flavorful, served with fresh chips. The white queso has the perfect consistency, and the verde sauce is very good. Popular dishes include the Pollo Bandito and a modified Burrito Bandera. The margaritas are delicious, and the piña colada lemonade is amazing. Service is quick, super friendly, and phenomenal, with staff always checking on guests.
This place deserves more people coming in and is considered by some to be the best Mexican food in Kansas. It is a good place worth a stop.
