“The best pho I have ever had. They have the ca phe hot or cold with the phin service at the table, which is wonderful compared to other places which are serving pre-mixed now. They also play the classic regional music I love to hear. For breakfast they have eggs with rice etc. Get the banh mi sandwiches or bun noodles to go for supper later on!“
“What a Wichita gem! I visited Daikon Cafe for the first time and was very impressed by the quality and service. For our party of 3, two of us ordered the hot pot. We did a split pot with the Spicy Kimchi & Oxtail soups. Both options were absolutely delicious. Staff was very helpful in explaining menu options and guiding us through the hot pot experience. Ingredients were fresh, well portioned, and had a good variety. The other member of our party ordered a simple fried rice, which looked and tasted delicious. The staff member (Viet) was helpful and friendly. We were also able to try a few new pork belly options that they were trying out which were amazing. All around fantastic food, fantastic service, and fantastic prices. I can’t wait to visit again the next time I’m visiting Wichita! If you’re on the fence, definitely give Daikon Cafe a visit - I can’t imagine you would be disappointed.“
“A fantastic Vietnamese restaurant of Wichita, just east of Pawnee and Oliver. For starters, it’s open for early lunch customers, spaced out well in the dining areas, and staffed with polite cooks and servers. Some may say this is a hidden gem in town, but the phenomenal pho served here is no secret and is legendary to the area. My most recent trip was for a side of delicious and very fresh spring rolls, and one superb bowl of their house special pho. Absolutely loaded with the freshest basil and bean sprouts, this broth and beef made one of the best lunches I’ve had in awhile. This restaurant has to be a contender for best Vietnamese food in town and I recommend it to everyone.“
“It was my first time trying this place and it looked like a bakery straight out of a cute movie! It is Vietnamese owned! When we arrived, we rung the bell as there was no one at the front and it took quite a long time for someone to come. Since it is a mom and pop shop, I expected this wait as staff might be low. I didn't get any Banh Mi but they make it right in front of you! I only got some baked goods and the bread is so fluffy and the filling is so creamy. Please check this place out if you're in south Wichita and support local business!“
“Great food. I ordered to go here 2 times already. They give you a to-go bowl to eat the soup, so you don’t need to have your own bowl. It is very convenient if you are at work. Besides, the bowl is full of meats. They are definitely not stinky about giving you meats. The taste is great, most closer to authentic flavor than what i have tried.“
“Wonderful service. The restaurant was clean and tidy. The food was very good for my associates. Unfortunately, I bought a gluten-free meal and it was kind of bland overall. But I am very very grateful for all of the gluten-free options at this restaurant and will definitely go back and give it another try because My meal wasn't bad it just needed a little bit more. Flavor is all. That can happen when you make gluten-free meals.“
“Great tasty variety of Vietnamese food here! One of the best catering spots in Wichita as well. If you order catering to go I recommend the whole catfish to make summer rolls with and fried chicken wings. The quality is good while the place is clean with nice staff.Vegetarian options: There are some vegetarian options.“
“Love coming here!! My dad took me and my sister when it first opened, and I was in middle school! At 26 years old! It’s still amazing and I’m happy that it is getting proper business, but I think there’s still a lot of people that need to try this place!! The sandwiches are amazing and their soups are just awesome! Me and my sister still come here whenever we something delicious and a little bit riding down memory lane! The servers are just wonderful and they are always welcoming!“
“The service was amazing! Super friendly! The food was just as good! I think it's the best Pho place in town over all the others. Everything was good! The pho, spring rolls, noodles my daughter got, the crab ragoon. Writing this makes me want to go back again! The atmosphere was great! Very laid back and family friendly!“
“Went with my brother, who raves about the place. I went with a traditional dish. The food was out before I even had time to think, and it was hot enough I had to wait for it to cool a bit to eat it. It was good, but nothing special. I will return, however, and try the phö. It looked and smelled amazing as it went by!“
“MAGNIFICENT!10/10im speechless. The pho has a truly excellent flavor profile. Everything is there, coriander, cinnamon, strong clove, bone broth particles floating in the broth, and the deep, deep umami at the bottom of the profile is a very strong and delightful foundation. The steak is good quality. The meatballs are the full-length preparation version which is always preferred, and they are quartered perfectly. The large size pho tai bo vien had PLENTIFUL steak and meatballs to the point I ran out of jalapeno and noodles to eat it with, which I am overjoyed by. So so good and perfect. The broth is only barely greasy on the surface which is fine. The spring rolls were quite good, the pork is excellent, the shrimp is fresh, and the wraps are tough, which I like, because its a delight to chew and linger over. I dont like basil or mint and the spring rolls have basil and mint rolled into them by default, but, I could definitely have asked for no basil or mint next time and it would be much better for me. The peanut sauce is good but not perfect. The real peanut sauce has been cut with powder-mix, or bottled peanut sauce, which isnt preferred but it was still deliciously good.Everything was fresh, clean, and sophisticated. I am so happy this restaurant exists, and I will be returning many, many times. Thank you so much for the hard work you put into this broth and meatballs! Dont change a thing! PERFECT SCORE!“
“Truly a haven for lovers of Vietnamese cuisine. The menu is vast and filled with authentic flavors that transport you straight to Vietnam. The Pho, a classic Vietnamese soup, is a standout. It's rich, hearty, and full of fresh ingredients. The spring rolls are light, crispy, and served with a tasty dipping sauce. Whether you're a fan of traditional dishes or willing to try something new, there's something for everyone. The restaurant itself is clean and inviting. It has a cozy atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The staff are friendly and attentive, always ready to recommend dishes or explain what's in them.In terms of value, you can't go wrong at Saigon. The portions are generous, and the prices are reasonable. It's possible to have a great meal without breaking the bank. My only minor gripe is that the restaurant can get a bit busy during peak times, which might lead to a longer wait. But the quality of the food and the overall experience are well worth it. If you're in Wichita and craving some delicious Vietnamese food, I'd definitely recommend. It's a delightful culinary journey right in the heart of Kansas.“
“My son took me here and got me the beef stew, it was so delicious!!!! Everything I have tried there is so good! The stew was just so tender and flavorful. Probably the best Vietnamese restaurant in town. Very clean and attentive waitstaff. I highly recommend! 10 stars! My son got the duck soup. He loved it as well. Eggrolls can’t be beat! Perfection!!!“
“Staff are always courteous and make you feel welcome. The broth is phenomenal. It’s a quiet, chill place to enjoy a bowl of Pho. I’ve never had a bad experience. Kid friendly, people come in groups or families. I’ve been solo and the staff members are attentive and kind to everyone that walks in those doors. Definitely recommend.“
“I had an amazing lunch experience here. The beef pho was an absolute delight - flavorful and generously portioned, it truly captured the authentic taste of Vietnam. The ambiance added to the experience, making it feel like a genuine Vietnamese culinary journey. Highly recommend trying their pho for a genuine taste of Vietnam's flavors!“
