“Absolutely phenomenal experience through and through. Brought my family here for dinner and was welcomed with warm service and LOTS of patience for newcomers. Mr. Christian, our server, was incredibly helpful and attentive. And let's not forget the sauce bar! There's an entire buffet bar of different sauces and oils that you can mix and match to make your perfect dipping sauce. For $30 a head, 2 hours of all-you-can-eat KBBQ can't be beat. I'll definitely be coming back!“

“Very good brisket with an excellent variety of sauces. Corn pudding, corn muffin and other sides all good. Baked beans have the scraps of brisket included (the best way to do beans) The place is a shack. An excellent bbq shack but still a shack.“

Order the corn pudding too - so sweet, it should be a dessert. These are really down to earth folks and their customers represent all of Lexington.“

“This place is legit. Good meats and good eats. You got to do the deep fried bacon cheese macaroni balls. Drizzle the bourbon BBQ sauce on those little spherical wonders and send me a thank you. You're welcome. And for the main, go all carnal and order the meats sampler platter and grab your choice of sauce. Splash, splatter and slather your plate till all you have left is an empty platter and some sloppy fingers. This place brings new meaning to finger licking good, but be sure to bring an extra shirt or a Tide Pen because surely in your exuberance you'll have "Bob Rossed" yourself. Oh...and the service was incredible. Courtney is the best!!!! Ask for her and tip her big time. She deserves it. If it wasn't for her the food still would have been good, but because of her service this place was a 12/10. Worth every penny.... and the three hour drive just to dine.“

Cocktails are a highlight, but don’t look past the wine list - they do a really good job curating awesome wines you won’t easily find around town. The two person booth under the stuffed buffalo head in December is the most magical seat in Lexington. The patio in the summer (especially when the tent is up) makes for an awesome place to meet friends and watch the sunset while having a custom margarita & the best wings in the US. Menu changes monthly, make sure you hit the specials but NEVER, I mean never skip the wings.Parking: Don’t let parking intimidate you. You can park on in street for free in a 3 block radius.“

“Even though we had a 30-minute waiting time, which was not much the service was fast, our waiter was very nice and she was always checking on us to see if we need anything.Parking: There's plenty of parking. “Found this place while visiting from out of town. Ashley was amazing, made great recommendations and was very sweet. We had the pulled pork, Mac and cheese, fries and the burger. All were amazing. Can’t wait to come back on a sunny day and sit on the patio.“

“We stayed at a terrible hotel with way over priced food down the street. Went here instead. It was 30 mins till closing. They were basicly empty. However, food was great. It was hot and all seemed fresh. Meat was tender and moist. Everything was clean and it smelled great. Employees were all super friendly and upbeat. Will eat here again for sure.“

Ample portions, and I would 'pit' the quality of this barbecue against any of the best in the seven states I have lived. Even Kansas City. The cook here is a pro. “On my way to Georgia and got the grumbles. BBQ was on my mind. Yelped what's in the area and Red State pops up. Divey BBQ spots are usually the best and this place didn't disappoint!! People wrote on the walls and ceilings and I loved it. Half slab of ribs, beer cheese grits and fried green tomatoes. Boom. Texas something or ruther bbq sauce. Oh and PEACH bread pudding. Oh and Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale (8.2%) Ribs-perfect smoke. Fall off the bone. Sauce so good I couldn't tell the rib from my finger and bit myself. Beer cheese grits- damn. Just damn. Fried green tomatoes- good but I've had better. Peach Bread Pudding- cmon. Peach cobbler had a baby with bread pudding?? I'm about to lose feeling in my toes. So damn good that I could care less about taking pics. If you're In the area and get the hankering for some meat sweats, stop here. You won't be sorry.“

“Today was my 18th Birthday and my mom took me to dinner. I ordered a steak with a board potato and corn, it was delicious! Our waitress was the sweetest kind hearted person i think i have ever met. Her name was Payton. So Payton if you ever see this just know you completely made my day!“

“The brisket has great bark on it and is always tender. They have a great variety of sauces so you'll have Asoka find one you love. Their pulled pork is juicy and flavorful. I prefer their vinegar based sauce on their pull pork. Their ribs have a good bbq flavor in every bite.“

“This place is a regular spot for me and my Husband. We love the southwest shrimp for a starter. Pair that with a bowl of loaded potato soup and bread for an awesome meal.Hubby likes their burgers and I enjoy their salmon. There are many good tasty meals to choose from.“

My sister and I had the pleasure of dining here on 2/24/2024 and we could not have received service any better than that which was bestowed upon us, by the wonderful staff at Sonny's.We conducted what I will call a dry run, so we could get our timing down for the FLUFFY show that we will be attending next month (3/24) at Rupp Arena. She along with several others, did an absolutely wonderful and outstanding job with our order. We were constantly being checked up on, not only by Angel but with other staff at the restaurant. Everyone wanted to make sure that we had a wonderful experience, and they certainly hit it out of the ballpark.
