I love reading these reviews that complain about how expensive it is, yet they sell out within the hour on many items on the weekend. We come into town from DC to visit family and this is one spot I never miss. The pain au chocolat is fantastic and all the other wildly creative concoctions are a great way to experience different flavors with traditional pastry styles. Best bakery I've ever been to and I don't even like pastries and this kind of thing in the morning. I like bacon, eggs, and hashbrowns. I'll obviously leave the complaint about parking to the city, not the bakery.“

“Benson Paige is a pup who has lived in a shelter for a whole year. Today is his last day on earth since he is being humanely euthanized tomorrow. A foster took him out and spent some time at Bloc, so benson got to finally cuddle up on a couch. He finally got to eat a whole plate of eggs, a plate of bacon and experience the good life- something he never got to experience before. Stevie the lead barista was incredibly kind and compassionate over the phone with me while I tried to coordinate getting benson a special treat and helped me make sure the foster & benson were taken care of and that he got to experience love. “In a city with a ton of breweries Estoric has a unique charm to it. It has the comfort of a coffee shop, while offering over a dozen drink options as well as mocktails that are equally delicious. The food options are limited but well executed including delicious wings and sandwiches. The staff was super helpful in help our party decide between what beers we should try and took the time to make sure we would order something that agreed with our individual palates.“

“The girl that greeted us had dark hair (black I believe) I should’ve gotten her name. I was going in to pick up a testing cookie-Pumpkin cheesecake, with my 3 young kids. I’m someone who’s easily stressed and wanted this to be a quick in and out type of deal, we came 10 minutes early so I was expecting to wait but nope it was ready! We also ended up buying the cookies and cream cake. The cashier/baker was the sweetest though, even if the cookies had been terrible we’d come back to see her.

The pumpkin cheesecake was delicious, right amount of cheesecake and pumpkin flavor with the graham cracker crumbl on top. I was so excited this was at the location near us. Thank you!!!!!“

“1215 is one of the best coffee shops I’ve had the pleasure of frequenting, and I make it a habit to go here at least once a week. It’s in the heart of OTR and is super convenient for anyone in that area. I’m on a first name basis with the baristas and ordering food/coffee from them feels less transactional and more human. They sell Deeper Roots coffee which is top notch, and I could drink their house blend for the rest of my life. They have a really solid selection of teas too. The place is not at all pretentious, and has a regular clientele that is relaxed and friendly - and the place is bustling but not too busy. The music they play is at the right volume and is well-curated - Americana, folk, 2000s indie, soft rock, blues. Around 5-6pm the coffee shop vibe slowly turns into a romantic and cozy wine bar with live music on some nights. The flowers on the tables are replaced by candles and the lights are dimmed. While I’m usually busier in the evenings, this tempts me to stay all day. Fantastic place that I cannot recommend enough!“
