down side: i got a 4 piece chicken finger platter. i are half of 1 piece. chicken was really chewy. The rest went in the trash.

Based on recent reviews, Zaxbys Chicken Fingers & Buffalo Wings offers a mixed experience. The food was amazing at first, and the restaurant is very clean out front. Service can be very friendly, with exceptional waitresses and good customers feeling welcomed. However, the quality has declined for some. The chicken is often old and dried out, the bread is usually hard and burnt, and portion sizes are decreasing while prices are increasing. For the price paid, customers feel they can go elsewhere and have leftovers.
Takeout orders are frequently wrong. One order was missing a Cobb salad and strawberry cheesecake bites, and instead had two zensation salads and two Lg Dr. Peppers. Another order was missing coleslaw, and the restaurant did not inform the customer they were out of it. Employees have been seen on their phones with earbuds in, seeming lost. While the staff usually fixes mistakes, it requires an extra drive back.
On a positive note, the staff can be exceptional. One customer wanted the old chicken club sandwich, which was no longer on the menu. A young man with delightful energy confirmed the order and got the cook to make it anyway, resulting in the best sandwich in years. The food is good and pricey, and some prefer a bone in the chicken. The restaurant is good for a quick meal, but customers often have to check their orders before leaving.
