“One (or maybe only!) fav place to eat at in Inez. I found this place 5 years ago on a market visit and since then, I've had a chance to visit it 4-5 times a year. :) It has a lot of history associated with it... Ms. Ida apparently hosted a lot of VIPs there. Looks-wise, it is nothing much. Decor-wise even worse.. pretty shabby looking furniture n all. But the food is amazing! I went there today at lunch with colleagues.. I ordered their best item I.e. Chicken salad on a croissant with seasonal fruits. Other things ordered were Teriyaki Chicken with seasonal Veges, double party hamburger, turkey burger and hamburger steak with fries and bun. Everything was great. Freshly made food in adequate quantity. Other awesome items on their menu are the onion rings and the mouth watering bread pudding.. the best I've had in WV!!! Service is slow at the best of times but pleasant. The lady at the counter needs to smile a bit and be less off-putting. The venue has an upper floor with a terrace for outdoor seating area.. is pretty to sit there in fall or when it's raining. The upper floor is also used/booked for meetings and events... but the food/catering needs to be from there.“
“What a pleasant surprise! I was in Paintsville for a meeting and noticed the shop across the street. I stopped in to check it out and I'm so glad I did. I learned that Sugar Momma's does cakes have a all kinds including cupcakes, wedding cakes, birthday, special occasion, etc. They have a daily lunch special so you can eat there as well. The shop is warm and inviting and the staff was so friendly. This is Sugar Momma's second location with the first being in Inez, KY. I picked up some cupcakes to take home which were greeted by much excitement when I arrived. I tried the blueberry which was delicious and I especially appreciated that the cake itself was loaded with blueberries. The icing was a cream cheese frosting with blueberry compote on the top. My family enjoyed everything they tried. The only criticism I heard was that the icing to cupcake ratio was a little off with too much icing. I thought the icing ratio on my blueberry cupcake was fine. I also learned that they have space to host events at the shop including baby and wedding showers, birthday parties etc. I'll definitely be back!“
“Family in from outta state and picked this delightful respite of 'Home Cookin'. Huge homemade biscuits and out of this world ? fried apples. Relaxed, no rushed atmosphere, 'Come on down set a spell.'Dietary restrictions: My oldest daughter has a myriads allergies ? and she found food she can enjoy.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp very accessible right in front of entrance door.“
“First time here with the family, we had 8 in our party. Yes the service was slow however, we expected that ahead of time from reading other comments prior to eating here. They were really busy and only had 1 waitress. She didn’t stop the whole time and you would almost think she’s the only worker in the restaurant. With a bigger staff this place would thrive. The food overall was good and fresh.“

“Amazing I went there with a couple people and the staff is super friendly I know they are great at making sure you got everything like enough to drink, that your food is correctVegetarian options: I know they always have a daily soup and special and if you don't see the soup special on Facebook they will gladly tell you and probably if you ask what's in it too or take of meat or something off your sandwich when ordering last time I went there the soup was cheddar broccoli soup it was really hot and soo good all of their food is really hot not cold at all and they let you take your drink home and any food you want just in a different container they can probably accommodate to allergiesKid-friendliness: They are amazing with teens, kids, and even adults super friendly staff always checking on you and who Evers with you if there is anyone“
