“Dined here in early July. The food is to die for (especially a curry-style dish on the menu when we visited), the service is excellent (and not too hurried), and the ambiance is charming. The bread is also out of this world. The wine pairings also nicely complement the food, and the desserts are definitely worth having (especially the drunken banana cake). It is one of the nicest special occasion restaurants in Louisville. One caveat of interest to certain diners is the restaurants lax policy on pets. When we dined there, another table came in with a small dog. It wasn't a service or support dog because the diners kept passing it around the table, and even that table's server petted it. The dog's presence didn't bother us (it was well-behaved and quiet), but I could see some diners not enjoying dinner with a dog at the next table.“

“This restaurant is inside Hyatt Regency Downtown....I ordered a pork chop, carrots and mashed potatoes. The pork chop was delicious and the carrots were good but they were purple in color. You can always get a table either outside or in the restaurant.

“Rib tip dinner was great! Had the sweet & spicy chili sauce and came with two sides and a roll. I got greens, baked beans, and added a side of the fried taters and onions. All of it hit the spot with a ginger ale to wash it down. Very nice people inside. Great little neighborhood eatery I recommend.“

I also witnessed extreme rudeness to a door dash driver who had clearly been waiting a while and when they asked about the order having been marked 10 minutes ago as ready they were told "We don't care about YOUR numbers, we have to appear to be on time." He looked like management. I turned and left, I will not do business with someone being rude to staff or anyone providing a service to them any more than rudeness to customers.“

“Our server, Abby, was terrific. Our bartender, Mike, is best in class and makes perfect recommendations. The chef, Jeremy, makes the best shrimp and grits I've had. Everyone there is incredibly friendly. Jeremy talked with us after the kitchen closed and was really charming. If you live in or visit Louisville and don't eat here, you're missing something special.“

“The Fat Lamb was fantastic in every way. It was a true culinary delight. We had a large group, so we were able to sample multiple appetizers and entrees. They were all fantastic. Some highlights included the whipped feta dip, truffle fries, cauliflower, and meatballs for appetizers. For entrees, more than half of our group had the lamb chops. The lamb chops were sensational - the best lamb dish I've ever had and one of the top 10 dishes of my life. The service was great as well. The restaurant is not inexpensive, but it is well worth the money. Thank you for a wonderful evening we will remember.“

“For my sons birthday, Jacob Withrow ,he wanted family to meet at the Village Anchor (10 of us ) We all have been raving over how good the food was after we left there yesterday. It all came out in a timely manner and done the way we asked , and Bravo to the chef. Our waitress Melissa was fantastic she was on to of everything and made sure we all were taken care of and happy . My husband is very picky when it comes to food and he was absolutely gives 10 stars to the Village Anchor. We all said we would make the 2 1/2 hour drive to eat there again. “We always are served well at The River House. We had the November special dinner and it was perfectly prepared. Nice steak, beautiful lobster tail and potatoes and asparagus were almost more than I could eat. But the salad and dessert were the perfect way to start and end my meal. My husband tried the scallops and shrimp pasta and it was all he was hoping for. We love dining at the River House because it always makes our special celebrations 100times better.“

“I rarely leave reviews but today I am. I ate at Gus’s for the first time today and I must say it was amazing. The waitress was lovely, welcoming and attentive. Everything came out hot, the fried chicken wasn’t over breaded, it was perfect with the perfect amount of spice and reasonably priced. I give it an 11 out of 10 and I will definitely be going back on the regular.“

“We loooooove the Silver Dollar!! We're so happy that our favorite neighborhood restaurant has reopened. We are looking forward to trying all of their new menu items. My dog & I enjoy sitting out back on their cute patio & my son is addicted to the Chicken & Waffles. I'd highly recommend Silver Dollar to anyone who wants to refine their bourbon palate. We've been indulging in the $40 bourbon flight specials on Wednesdays. All the Silver Dollar bartenders are very demure, very mindful especially Jay! We loooooove Whiskey by the Drink“

“I stopped in after going to my veterinarian in Shively. The salmon croquettes were perfect! Greens, pinto beans and delicious corn bread too. I peeked into the dining room and plan to eat in next time. Big Hopps served me my first taste of sweet potato casserole back when they were located near the Glassworks building. This place is a real gem.“

I almost asked her to marry me, but reason prevailed. My previous two visits to this Cheddar's were mediocre, but everything about this visit was excellent!
