“Traveling through the area and stopped to charge our Tesla. Hard to explain just how beautiful the whole experience was. It was mid to late afternoon and the staff was incredibly welcoming and friendly! Literally felt like the girl invited us into her kitchen and was excited to share their home and passion for baking. It's like we went in for baked goods and instead met love! These kind of experiences are few and far between!

Oh! And the review of the baked goods.... off the charts! I was so excited to see hummingbird cake which I have rarely found. I remember experiencing it as a teenager in my uncle's restaurant and absolutely loved it. And this was phenomenal. Also had a peach crumble, might not have the name quite right. Just the right level of sweetness with this light peach flavor spread throughout.

I recently located here from Ohio and I’ve grown up with European food like Cevappi and luckily enough I looked into this place after my work bought some of their pastries for breakfast and they were jaw dropping! I instantly could tell this place was all homemade amazing food. I searched their menu after tasting their delightful pastries and saw they had Cevappi and I knew I had to try it. The smell of the homemade bread is so filling and made me so happy. The Cevappi are soooo good with the onion and the homemade sauce with dill is so buttery and garlic. Our top is strawberry, middle is bailey's and bottom is strawberry. This fed enough ppl plus more with us saving our top cake. We estimated 75 people when ordering. She arrived on time and the cake was just gorgeous.“

“Dear Jeff's Donuts. I regret to inform you, I can only give you five stars, just know you deserve every single star in the sky. I hope this letter finds you well. The day is Friday. January the 10th, year 2025. Today, Brooklyn and I decided to get donuts for us and the kids, as she wanted to start preparing the chili early. Dunkin’ Donuts was closed, and the order promptly canceled. We debated on making homemade donuts for a short time, before deciding to venture out and try something different. There you were. Shining like a lighthouse in a dark, foggy sea of plain looking donuts. It’s beacon of light piercing through the veil of confusion and blandness. The chaos of ordinary cookie cutter style donuts, never stood no chance, really. Upon inspecting the diverse list of offerings, something caught my eye. The Cherry Dream Long John. I must admit, I was hesitant at first. Cherry is something many do wrong. Alas, I could not resist my own curiosity. The craving for proper cherry took over and consumed my ability to control my impulse. I added everyone’s order, and sent forth the courier of deliciousness promptly to your location. I had to have it, and I had to have it now. A short time later, the courier arrived, carry what was quite possibly the biggest donut box I’d ever seen. It was then, at that very moment, I knew deep inside of me that these truly were going to be no ordinary donuts. I quickly flayed the tree pulp and adhesive bondage from the chest of donuts, with the utmost anticipation. Not knowing truly what to expect, but having the highest of hopes. I opened it with the utmost care. At first glimpse, I was overwhelmed. I immediately closed the box in disbelief and looked at Brooklyn. She understood from my expression, that this indeed, was no ordinary box of donuts from no ordinary donut shop. It took a second, but after the shock and excitement faded, I re-opened the chest of delight, and we handed them out. The kids got chocolate frosted sprinkle donuts, which were absolute behemoths. You could tell, they were iced in all of their glory and size, with care and intent. Brooklyn withdrew her blueberry donut. She was pleased. Then it was left to me. I picked up my Cherry Dream donut, and stared at it for a minute. Marveled by its creamy, fresh and delicious appeal. Almost entranced by the faint smell of cherry and freshly cooked dough. I tried my first bite, and immediately knew not many would follow, as I couldn’t contain myself. It was perfect. From the creamy, fresh soft icing, that was a perfectly balanced flavor profile of cherry. Not the overwhelming fake cherry that becomes too much to bear after the first few bites. The sweet, delicate taste of cherry done right. Just enough to leave you craving more. It was that profile, mixed with a soft, fresh, airy dough that had such perfectly placed and crafted air pockets inside that it couldn’t possibly have any other explanation than god himself, wanted them to be there. Alas, I had acquired the perfect cherry donut. Jeff, from my heart to yours. To you, and your crew of artesian donut crafters as well, I’d like to say thank you. Thank you for this experience that has filled me with so much joy. Thank you for these children, being able to experience what a TRUE donut, really is, in all of its glory. “Paid for my wedding cake in full on 9/14/24 for my wedding on June 21, 2025. I ordered a 4 tiered simple piping cake to be delivered to Huber's Orchard and Winery. My husband and I live in Indiana, and we went into the bakery 3-4 times throughout the months leading up to the wedding to verify all the details and delivery time. I called Thursday 6/19, and I was promised my original delivery time of 3pm by the latest. I was assured it would be delivered between noon and 3pm. The day of my wedding at 3 pm comes and goes with no sign of the cake. My day of coordinator, mother, mother in law, Florist, and my aunt are all calling Heitzmans to see where the cake is. Nobody is answering! Finally, my day of coordinator reaches the delivery driver, and he tells her he is a few minutes out. The cake did not arrive until 5:15 pm!! My ceremony started at 5:30 pm!!! It was carried in on one shoulder by a man and dropped off, which I witnessed lining up for the ceremony. My florist asked the 3 people that dropped it off to help put the flowers on because they were going to drop it and leave. When I called today to get my delivery fee refunded, the driver told me he was there before the ceremony, and I was harsh for asking for the delivery fee refunded. He also said that they hand put all the flowers on the cake, which is not true because my florist asked them to help put flowers on and the conversation was witnessed by my day of coordinator, my mother in law and obviously the florist. I asked for my delivery fee refunded, and I was told I was being too harsh! The guy I was speaking to was one of the people who delivered my cake on my wedding day! Eventually, he agreed to refund my $75 delivery fee. Other brides should know my experience if you're getting married at a distance from the bakery. I was very disappointed because up to the wedding day, everyone had been wonderful to work with, but I would be cautious to have anything delivered at a distance. Update: The owners son called me 7 times in the matter of 10 minutes after posting this review. He said I was being unreasonable for posting this review. I told him I was too upset to speak with him, and I would call at a later date. I spoke with the owner Marguerite today who was unapologetic about the situation and how her son handles business. I am very disappointed in this company. She shared that they were not late and they were supposed to be there before the ceremony started, even if its 10-15 minutes before walking down the aisle and your cake is not decorated. She also said they have been in business for 5 generations and cakes will always be delivered one handed and on a sweaty person's shoulder. Also, I still have not received my $75 delivery fee refund. It has been over a week. We are supposed to get a "free anniversary cake" at our 1 year so my husband and I started eating our top tier of our wedding cake and it is not the correct flavor. It was supposed to be almond/white and strawberry. The top tier is all strawberry. I would not recommend having any specialty cake ordered or delivered from this company. Rude, unapologetic, unprofessional, and not worth the stress.“
