“A perfect fusion of American classics and Louisiana dishes cooked over open wood-fueled flame , served up in a comfortable and modern concept. Came on recommendation from two different locals who said this was the best restaurant in Lafayette. We were not disappointed. Reservations were needed, but the hostess was able to accommodate us by the kitchen. It worked out GREAT. Was able to see the chef, Sullivan, and his crew perform their magic on each of the dishes. Every member of the staff was very friendly - from the hostess, servers, chef, our waiter Zach, and the general manager Aaron. Just get two orders of the Roasted Oysters to start. Trust me on this one. Even the Mac and Cheese was delicious! The creme brulee was delectably perfect. Get it! If cocktails are your jam, you won't be disappointed with the selection. My only gripe was that it was very loud on a Saturday at 7 PM. Felt like it was a night club. Made conversation challenging at times. If you need to change diapers, the unisex bathrooms will have accommodations for your baby. A thoughtful touch. Will definitely return if I ever come back to Lafayette.“

“We walked in without a reservation, so we were seated at the bar. It turned out to be great because they had a phenomenal singer named Layla Laverne who sang everything under the sun and was amazing at every song she belted out! Aubree was the bartender and while she was busy, she still found time to come chat and show us hodpitality. Food was amazing as well as the atmosphere!“

You feel like you've been transported back to the Roaring 20's (with a modern twist) with it's beautiful dark wood walls and bar, carpeted stairs that lead to a second level, and VIP booths lining the walls with red velvet curtains. I go to bars pretty much every week because i travel a lot for work. And this place is definitely special, I’ll come back here when im in town again.

“This place makes my gluten-free heart sing! I go here every weekend, their coffee is amazing, and their gluten-free baked cakes/muffins are literally the best I've ever had in my entire life! I love the cozy atmosphere, the sweet baristas, and sitting outside under the ferns is one of my new happy spots!“

“While most of these drinks are totally disgusting, I just loved the novelty of a drive-up daiquiri window and their pricing for specials. There are pool tables but no one was there using them when we were there. That drive through sure was busy though! Oh, and don't mess with the raccoons living out of the dumpster out back---they are favored regulars!“

“I rented out the large uncovered patio area on Saturday for my husband’s fortieth birthday! We had the BEST time! Sara was SO helpful with helping me decide which area was best for us to rent. She was honest & realistic, which made the decisions easy for me! We had approximately 40-45 people and there was so much extra room! We rented from 5-9 and it was perfect, there was lots of parking when we arrived. The place was crowded but not overly/ towards 9 o’clock it got very crowded but SUCH a fun vibe! Even with the crowd the bartenders were quick with drinks and the kitchen was quick with food! Overall… 10/10 recommend. 😉 we will be back!!!!“

“I gave a surprise proposal for my girlfriend here and everything was PERFECT‼️ From the beginning at the planning stage Cam had been very professional, helpful, and informative. He made me, my mom, and mother n law feel like we were at home. The planning process was super easy. Cam went above and beyond to make sure everything would be as it should for such a special day with family and friends. Even after the sit down we had to plan everything he would text me to make sure that I had everything I needed/wanted to ensure that special day would be nothing short of amazing. On the day of the proposal everything went as planned and I could not have done it without Cam and his amazing staff. To the servers that were bringing out the appetizers, entrees, and salads, you are greatly appreciated for your patience and professionalism. Everyone was taken care of and the food was brought out in a timely manner with no complaints. Food was delicious!! I cannot stress enough how we enjoyed such a wonderful evening. If you have anything that will require a good bit of people to be taken care of, SoLou Lafayette is the place to look for. Again, thanks to Cam and his wonderful staff at SoLou me and my family were able to celebrate one of my long term goals. Job well done!“

“We are traveling through Louisiana, and we love Tapas, so my husband picked this place. Best meal I had this year. Every drink delicious, evey bite wonderful. Wait staff, kindest, knowledgeable, and efficient. Love this place. Would make a special trip just to come here! Emily, thank you. I have never given all 5s.
