“My daughter has wanted me to come for a while now and today was my first ever visit. I love that there were “secret cookies” my daughter didn’t know existed! So I got to surprise her and that was nice. I will say these cookies seemed underdone to me at first but it could just be that they’re meant to be soft. We bought a big pack and the young lady up front this morning was able to tell me every detail of what I was looking at when picking the cookies. She also had excellent customer service! It was just so nice overall and I will be coming back!“

“We couldn’t have been happier with our wedding cakes! We decided to go with three separate cakes, each with a different flavor—White Chocolate Strawberry, Chocolate Espresso, and Almond—and each one exceeded our expectations. They captured our vision perfectly, and on top of that, the cakes were absolutely delicious. It was a huge hit with our guests. We highly recommend them for anyone looking for a beautiful and tasty centerpiece for their special day!“

“Just wanted to drop by and say that we had an amazing experience at Turgeau's this morning. Our youngest son is newly diagnosed with celiac disease and just starting to feel better. Going out for a meal causes some nervousness but he REALLY wanted pancakes (I just miss having pancakes 😔). Not only were the staff well educated on cross contamination precautions, they were also very helpful with making sure his selections were safe. Plus, they have a catering menu for Christmas dinner. We will be back!“

“Grew up on the Westbank with McKenzies king cakes and bakery goods. Had one I could ride my bike to and loved it Krummels reminds me of it so much! The king cakes are absolutely amazing and are the closest I have found to those classic McKenzies cakes we all loved (and yes, I have tried the “old recipe” versions as Tastee in Metairie.) Walking in causes the memories to come flooding back, the air even feels the same inside. Highly recommended“

Now, I am from Mississippi from everyone smiles and is chipper but I was told the Louisiana folks are very straight forward and get to the punch!
And that is just what this little shop does.
Has the cutest souvenirs if that is your thing (it's mine!) and the beignets are good!
We get the frozen coffee and it hit the spot every time.
Our girls are picky and didn't like the beignets, and the asked if it was the quality. That tells me that are interested in the feed back.
I will go back again if I'm ever on the area! 🧡“

“Chose the Salad Sampler. Everything was delicious! The Cranberry salad, strawberries & cream, AND especially the Onion Soup! The staff is friendly. The place is charming. Had been 20 years since visiting since where I had lived didn't have this restaurant. It's STILL one of my favorites. Wasn't disappointed!“

“I absolutely love King Kake King. Our office orders every year. This year, we ordered a strawberry/cream cheese and a lemon. I cut the cakes into one inch slices. The filling was gushing out as I cut each time. I've never seen so much filling in a king cake before! The cake was moist and flaky! It was covered with icing and purple, green, and gold sugar. My co-workers said that it was the best king cake they've ever had. Don't listen to bad reviews! You must try these cakes for yourself. If you EVER have any problem with your cake at all, just call them and they will make it right. My office devoured the cakes in about 30 minutes.“

“I can’t even being to describe how delicious everything I ever bought shared and ate was always so fresh and so delicious… I easily put them on the same level of the bakeries I visited while I lived in Europe and through out my traveling! As good as a Parisian bakery! Just different offerings but those offerings are on par!“
