“Walk-On’s Alexandria is my favorite restaurant in the area. Whether you are hungry for a salad, appetizer, dessert, entree, or all of the above, Walk-On’s has the best variety and most delicious food! Personal favorites: spinach & artichoke dip, lemon butter chicken, ribeye po-boy (extra garlic aoli), and chocolate chip cookie sundae. This review would not be complete without a shout-out to my favorite, friendly servers and managers: Kip, Chris, Maddie C and Jacob S - ALWAYS attentive, efficient, and kind! Keep making dining out a great experience!“

“We stopped in for lunch today, and the special was meatloaf. It was to die for! All the sides looked wonderful, and between the two of us, hubby and I sampled the mashed potatoes, rice, gravy, green beans, Mac and cheese, mustard greens, and yams. Everything was just like our mamas cooked it. Friendly dining area, and you just cannot go wrong with a stopover when you're in town. Love it!“

Pepperoni and The Hawaiian are our favs. Consistent recipes, perfect portion sizes, polite staff, great business hours, quick service, delicious food, variety of beer/wine options, relaxed ambiance, Celiac friendly, bakery next door! We like to bring our pup to have a nice dinner every Friday, but with it being Lent we aim for the Monday night special. The staff have ALWAYS offered to bring out a water bowl. “We visit lots of breweries, in state & out of state, & there has not been another brewery that comes close to Huckleberry. Their Trail Dog & Sandbar Blonde are easy drinking & my 2 favorites. Having said that; their seasonals & the new releases are outstanding. It was still good. Service was super fast except for receiving the check but the server was nice. The only thing that completely threw me and my fiance off is seeing the bartender literally brush his teeth at the bar in front of everyone while yelling at the football game…“

“We didn't have a reservation but they got us a table no problem. Our waiter was Jeffrey and he was so good! We got the Allegro Moscato which was delicious! Appetizer: The wedge salad, Shrimp Alexandria and the crab cakes were all sooo delicious! Entree: Salmon (good) and 8oz filet (dry) with whipped mashed potatoes (delicious). Dessert: Chocolate cake and cheesecake (mediocre).“

“I love the hole in the wall places and this is just that. Yes they do have a full restaurant this is a little shop about the size of a food truck. They have a drive through and you can walk in. It is as the British say take away. The food is true southern cooking fantastic. They do give samples of the cracklins chicken and pork. You will get both they are so good.“

“I recently visited this place for the first time on Friday night I was greeted by a hostess who's seemingly appeared to be here for a long time I'm not sure but I was greeted in the most professional way and seated in the area they gave me prompt delivery as the place was very crowded which is a good sign thank you to The Host I believe her name was Dina don't know where she came from but I suggest you guys keep her she gave me a wonderful experience from the door coming in to the door coming out thank you Ms Dina I hope you had a good night“

“First time in Alexandria. I was next door at the BEST Western and decided to walk over for lunch. The cheeseburger was delicious!! Cooked to order and was fresh. We were greeted by staff and promptly waited on and served!! We also went back the next morning for breakfast!!“

“This place was good. My husband had the shrimp etouffee and it was really good. I had the boudin burger and it was okay, I wouldn't get it again. We will definitely try some different options next time we are in the area. The AC wasn't working good which was disappointing after riding on the back of motorcycle for a few hours in 90° weather.“
