“Top notch place, for real. Genius associations of flavors, execution of the plates that seems perfect (but I am not an expert!), and wide selection of high quality wines and grappas. I got a killer glass of nebbiolo.

“I don’t know if anyone reads anything from this site but I wanted to post a rave for the Baton Rouge location. My mom was transferred into hospice care on the day I ate at your restaurant. It was a horrible day until the nicest server/waitress I have ever had sat us down. She couldn’t have known what we were going through or how much she brightened our day. She was pregnant, I know that. Otherwise I don’t remember her name. One of those days I guess. She just had this light about her and when she smiled Everything seemed a little better. I think God put her there at that moment. Hopefully she will be there the next time we go. But if not I was posting this to tell her thankyou for being you. And good luck with your pregnancy. You are going to be an awesome mom. You are full of light and love. May God bless you abundantly.“

“Absolutely delicious and big servings!“

“The negative: Parking lot was small; had a difficult time getting my truck out after someone parked near me while I was dining. Was also there 5 to 10 minutes before I had the waitress’s attention. The positive: Food was absolutely outstanding. Roux was perfect. Remoulade was close to world class; I’ve had it in 5 star restaurants in Vegas that wasn’t this good. Kind of food you travel a bit to get to. I’ll put up with the negatives if that’s indicative of the rest of their menu.“

“I have eaten here for both breakfast and dinner and both times, the food was amazing. The breakfast buffet is huge and the chefs will make you an amazing omelette.

I went in for dinner tonight and ordered the shrimp, wedge salad and blackened red fish. It was awesome.

Special touch was the lively atmosphere. They had a great singer who was extremely talented and brought a lot of people together.

I was really glad I stayed close to the hotel today for dinner.“

“When traveling we like to have a nice date night out. I found a story online and it mentioned Doe’s and it did not disappoint!

The atmosphere is chill and I wouldn’t change a thing. I read other reviews that thought it was too casual, I don’t need white table cloths, I’m here for the food.

We both had filet, she got the 8 oz & I got the 10 oz. We both agreed it was some of the best steaks we have ever had. They were really that good! The fries were fresh cut and amazing. All three of the other sides were very good too.

Our server was good too, not over the top or anything. The servers are in t-shirts & jeans (the waitresses in shorts). If this is an issue for you go to Ruth’s or someplace else.

The meal was outstanding. We spent $100/head and we each had a glass of wine plus the table sized sides. It was really a pretty perfect meal. If you’re looking for a really good quality steak dinner don’t pass Doe’s up!“
