If Roland is working, your day will be made. Plain and simple. I've dealt with him at another eatery years ago, and he was just as delightful then. However, literally every single employee working lunch on Fri, 10/20/23, was very nice and helpful. They all had smiles and genuinely looked to be enjoying working with each other. I eat fast food very little, and it made one of my rare visits enjoyable. I do not know any of the workers personally, and I hope the manager sees this because job well done with that crew. “We had a group of 12. Our waitress was fabulous. She took care of everyone in a timely fashion. I haven't had a Ground Pat'i in years. Just as I remember. It was cooked to perfection. I do miss the pewter mugs that they used YEARS AGO?“
“It's a diner and I love these places!! It reminds me of growing up, going to breakfast with my WWII/Korean war vet dad on a Saturday morning. Get breakfast at the diner, go to the dump, then hardware store... you get the picture. Sitting at the counter mere feet from the grill with a guy flipping eggs, fried potatoes, learning that men drink coffee black, etc. etc. The food is good old fashion American breakfast, and lunch. Great coffee, great service (the digital ordering thing is a bust) but the wait staff is great.Vegetarian options: If you want vegan, God are you at the wrong place. They have some options, but this is a diner, take the man bun somewhere else.Parking: Amazing open free parking lot.“
“I always stop at this Frostop every November after attending the Destrehan Festival a few minutes away. The burgers are always great (I recommend getting the burger "dressed"), and the root beer is delicious. My Grandma loved these burgers, she used to live nearby, and it's very nostalgic when I eat here.“
“Man I love finding these ducked off restaurants. Wasn't sure we were in the right place cuz we didn't see the signage. Place was open and folks were coming in to pick up orders the whole time we were there. Staff was friendly and took care of us. I got the wings with Jamaican jerk and hot lemon pepper. Both were good but the Jamaican jerk was the star. Also got the loaded fries as the side which had cheese sauce, I think shredded cheese, and bacon. Not a fan of cheese sauce like that but it was still pretty good. I wouldn't get it the next time I went cuz I would want to try something else but I'd get it again. For the drink, I ordered the strawberry lemonade. Hands down the best strawberry lemonade I've had. Gotta mix up the drink a bit but you'll definitely be wanting more. Will definitely be back when I'm in the area“
“Wow, where to begin! My family of five is on vacation from Detroit, MI and we had just gone on an airboat tour when we googled local restaurants. We landed on this gem, Jae Flem. From the moment we walked in until the moment we left, we were well taken care of with the utmost hospitality. And the food!! Let me tell you, you will not be disappointed. The fish, chicken, shrimp, Mac n cheese, and especially the crab cakes were all spectacular. Plus, the dessert! Do yourself a favor and check this place out.“
