Tender Turkey wings served over rice did not disappoint. The tenderness of the ribs/ brisket could be chewed by even the tenderness of one’s mouth. The potato salad was a perfect side that reminded me of a cookout on a summer day in July. Being able to interact with the staff, hear their passion on southern cooking and how life has treated them- is an example of what’s missing in our society- REAL CONVERSATION/CONNECTIONS. Many people came in, from different walks of life; yet they all yearned for good southern soul food. This is a great place to order, pull up a seat and feel at home.”

“Customer service was great. I called and ordered a king cake and it was ready for me to pick up the same day. I couldn’t choose between strawberry or cream cheese so I got 1/2 strawberry and 1/2 cream cheese. As for the cake itself, well I obviously couldn’t wait to take a picture before I had a piece. This will be my go to place for king cakes from now on.”

“I visited Marie's for the first time while in Natchitoches for the 2025 Folk Festival. It's not much to look at, but the burger I got was the best I've had in a long time! A hand-formed, well-seasoned patty with fresh toppings and a tasty bun made for great burger experience. I can't resist onion rings, so I ordered those, too. They were fried to non-greasy perfection: golden and crunchy. The folks who waited on me were great: friendly and helpful.I think this will become my #1 stop on future trips to Natchitoches.”

I left my hat on the beach outside of the restaurant over a month ago.. I live in Shreveport so I had to call. I spoke with Shawn and hid it in the closet for me and I picked it up today! What's not to love!”

“I was looking forward to dining at Lakewood after not visiting for seven years. This time, I was excited to bring my family along as we were celebrating a birthday. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing, with the best part being the time spent with my family rather than the meal itself. We arrived at 6:20 PM, but our food didn't arrive until 8:20 PM. The service was severely lacking, which was evident from the start. They were out of boiled shrimp, and later, there was a mix-up with our orders, further delaying our meal. By the time our food finally arrived, I requested it be packed in to-go boxes due to the extended wait. Our server, who seemed to be the only one working, handed us our food and apologized for the delay, adding that a tip had already been included. Unfortunately, the food itself was far from satisfactory. My party remarked that the fish tasted as if it had been reheated in a microwave, and the shrimp was extremely unappetizing. The only positive feedback was that the steak was decent. To add to the disorganization, our server had to return to our table because she forgot what we had ordered and needed to make a ticketand stated an automatic gratuity is added. Due to the poor service, it's clear that we will not be returning. The overall experience was very disappointing.”

“Little Caesars is my go to when I need a pick me up after running errands. The Italian cheesy bread is the bomb! Piping hot and sooooo tasty! Jacob will always have a smile and attentive service. Atmosphere? I do mobile orders and pick up at the drive thru.”

“Was directed to the restaurant by Nate at the front desk of the Holiday Inn Express. Had a bowl of red beans and rice and a to go order of bread pudding. The food was as good as anywhere that I've had and I have had that meal in myriad locations countless times. The aptly named and convivial Belle served me with attentive expediency and cordiality. While somewhat elevated in price for such plebian fare I was nonetheless pleased overall. Reccomended.”
