“The po boys here are excellent. I got to try both the softshell crab and the oyster and both were soooooooo good. The restaurant is very small and full of people so getting a seat to eat is tricky. Also it is cash only. Budget about 15-20/sandwich.“
“We spent some time in the French Quarter and decided to try a couple different spots to find the best sandwich we could. The fried shrimp poboy from Verti Marte blew all of the competition out of the water. The place feels unapologetically authentic, and the staff was friendly enough to give us some recommendations on where to get a good muffuletta sandwich (they were out of the bread) and what their favorite beignet spots were. Overall we highly recommend.“
“You will never find a better sandwich in Greater New Orleans area. If you're lucky, owner Dan Stein will be the one to take your order (in a deadpan sort of way that gives real personality to the restaurant). If you're not a NOLA native, do try some local Cajun and Creole cuisine. But do NOT miss out on this terrific NY style deli owned by a true mensch.“
“Fantastic. Hidden gem.Don't shy away from this place because it's tucked away in a food court, in fact go there for this reason. It has tons of seating, including a balcony. The perfect place to get an amazing sandwich away from the crowds.Tried the curry chicken salad sandwich and the French dip, highly recommend both.“
“3-29-2024, stopped in today for lunch. We had the stuffed Millerton w/ broccoli and rice and cornbread dressing. Excellent as usual. Also, the pot roast with souffle spinach and grilled brussel sprouts. Excellent. I only complained about this place is so “
“Amazing lunch and top notice service from Ms Angie and Mr Mike. Ms Angie talked to us and made us feel like family. She was so awesome! She made recommendations and Mr Mike had our meal up in no time flat and even came out to tell us goodbye!“
“the streets are completely flooded. Severe weather shutting down Nola offices and the owner finds a way to deliver a scheduled company lunch under these conditions. I’ve never spoken to anyone under this circumstance to have such an awesome and polite personality! Will absolutely be recommending him for future orders. You can count on him to make it happen“
“Hidden on bourbon street is this gem of a store- liquor, food, snacks and more! The gentlemen at the front door was nice and helped me in making a decision for my meal. My friend and I ordered a BLT, po boy, jambalaya and one other item that's slipping my mind right now. The food was tasty and made fresh to order. Grateful that the bartender at the Caroseul bar recommended coming here for late night food.“
“I will be adding Mid City Seafood where to get crawfish list. The crawfish were so juicy and seasoned just right. I also ordered corn and a turkey neck. Along with the delicious garlic butter sauce. Their prices are reasonable for the quality and amount of food, the turkey neck was huge. The inside of the store was also very neat and clean. All the employees wore masks and were nice. I will be back to visit.“
“Although I didn't order a bite due to the lack of hunger. I did visit the meat market and made a few groceries with them. I sampled their homemade hog head cheese for the first time and it wasn't bad at all. A very quaint and homely market and restaurant for the Locals and far / abroad Louisianians to drive all the way from wherever to Chalmette just to show them love and take some hog head cheese back with them.“
