“This little hiiden gem was a very pleasant surprise. The sign is missing out front, so don't miss it driving by. The building is older and at first glance you are not sure what your going to get. After walking in to see the owner sitting at a table and her daughters serving and have a great conversation with her you feel like you just joined a family at their home table. The food finished out the home cooking feel and was amazing. The fried chicken was so delicious. Don't let the outside fool you this place was so inviting and served great food.”

“I have been eating at Fatty's for 20 years. I have never had a bad meal. It is a small mom and pop with a big heart. Come with a empty belly because you will have plenty to fill it. They have a daily special plate and a consistent menu. One of my favorite goto spot when im in the area.”

We had a couple of cyclones (like a dairy queen blizzard) and they were really good (and really cold). Awful parking though - park, get your order, and then leave and eat it somewhere else so you can free up a parking space”

I have NO ideal how I’ve never heard of this place , I guess it’s because I live in Ponchatoula and don’t speak to many folks because I work most of the time .... But wow !!!! Not only the best Po-Boy I’ve “EVER” had the blessing to taste ... But what friendly folks you have working there as well !!! The bread .... Holy moly !!! Absolutely perfect for a Po-Boy!!! Semi crunchy on the outside but so soft on the inside .. and it doesn’t fall apart !! The shrimp and oysters were fried to protection !!! “Going on vacation to Louisiana and I am obsessed with Mexican food back home but had been previously disappointed by some restaraunts around, but this place had it all while also being a nice quiet environment you could enjoy, sweet servers and great food, only reason food is a 4 star is because I personally think the salsa tastes too sweet at the start and others at my table agreed but it was still very tasty.”

“Mama’s Kitchen was recommended to us by Dominique at the Whitney Plantation when we asked where we could find authentic southern food. My partner ordered the gumbo and the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and corn. I had the fried chicken and fries. My partner summed it up perfectly as we were heading back to NOLA: “It didn’t feel like a restaurant.
