“One of the highlights of our trip was to go to St Mary Seafood and Marina and meet on of the Edgars. Sure enough we meet Joey. He was very welcoming and is who he appears to be on the show, Swamp People. My kids thought it was really cool to meet a star off Swamp People. Thanks for taking a picture with our family and letting us look around.“
“We were staying at The Fairfax BnB and Debbie recommended The Forrest Restaurant for dinner. We ordered Fried Shrimp and Oysters and they were perfectly fried and delicious! Dessert was Mississippi Mud Cake...yum! I ordered a Vodka Tonic from bar and the tonic was flat but other than that everything was great. Our waitress was very sweet and attentive.“
“Crawfish....oh crawfish...so good and full of flavor. The cashier in Dollar General in Charenton referred us, saying how good this place was. We arrived at 5pm exactly....the drivethru line was wrapped around the building (good sign) They have inside dining. Staff was very friendly and constantly checked on us.“
“I stopped by this place when I was working in the area. I ordered some dungeness crab and had them boil it for me. It was awesome. Whoever cooked it is a pro. I took it to my hotel room and ate every bit of the meat, without anything but my hands. The crab was sweet and delicious and the shells cracked when snapped for easy eating. I HIGHLY recommed them and I never leave reviews!“
“Nice place . Very hard to get into if you're not familiar with the setup. If you're new with this like I was, use the lot across the street from what looks like an abandoned building. Go up the narrow road with cars blocking the way and it's on the right. Nice guys there though... Really helpful and will allow for you to rinse out the back of your truck.“
“Barto's Real Soul Food is a small establishment located at 911 Willow St in Franklin, Louisiana. The restaurant is owned and operated by Rodney Barto and his wife, Adrianne. The menu is suited for just about any.liking and he has one of the best burgers in town. Barto's is open daily at 11am and closed on Saturdays. Every other Sunday, he serves BBQ with all the fixings. He's recently included his Thirsday $5 Box special which included a 2pc Dried Chicken, Fries and a biscuit. Really good food quiet little atmosphere and the most humble people you'll encounter. Give it a try...“
