“There's a lot to choose from here and it can be a little overwhelming on your first visit. But the staff is happy to give you recommendations and suggestions and are very friendly. This visit I got the Furdy (sloppy roast beef, cheese, and ham) and it was really good. My daughter's shrimp however were really salty and she couldn't eat much of them. A regular hamburger here is quite good though so I recommend trying that at least once.“

“Receptionist at hotel recommended this place for oysters. The raw oysters were great! And the oyster poboy was overflowing with perfectly cooked oysters. My daughter loved the shrimp pasta. Waitress was so friendly and attentive. If ever in town again, this will be a definite stop!“

“This restaurant is a small mom and pop restaurant established in 1921. The food is excellent as is the service with a rustic atmosphere. If you want to support a local restaurant this is one you should patronize.

“Well I want to start by saying that this is the best place to buy crawfish here in Houma. I have only bought boiled crawfish here but let me tell you they are delicious. Not only do they taste great but the size of the crawfish and price are perfect. This has been a very tough year for crawfish season but at Crawfish House they do not disappoint.“

“such a great deal: hamburger and fries for $6.00, and you can't go wrong with "Tim" and "Ms.Pat" in the kitchen,the burger has a homemade flavor(juicy and delicious)and the fries are fresh cut potatoes ?

“The stuffed jalapenos, fried crabs claws, cheese stick appetizers were delicious and cooked perfectly!! The boiled shrimp, crawfish and snow crab cluster were all boiled to perfection. Well seasoned (but not overly seasoned) and really easy to peel. Totally satisfied with our decision to eat at The Shack tonight. They never disappoint!! Highly recommend them for fried or boiled seafood.“

“Food is absolutely delicious! Everything is always hot and fresh, nice portions and so tasty! They have the best combo of egg rolls and friend shrimp in town, meaning they're both good!! We always get the imperial chicken dinner and split, with a combo friend rice and egg drop soup. I love the duck sauce as well. I'll have to try more on the menu, but for consistency: we order about every 2 weeks and it's always great!“

“Great food & friendly staff. Place is also clean. Too bad I live so far .but that will be my eating place when ever I pass through . Went to TACO BELL once in Thibodaux. Never again .my daughter got sick and my food tasted molded and wrap was very hard..if I weren't in a hurry to get home 3 hrs away.i would have turned around and brought food back.I rate TACO BELL a 0.....“

“Poor customer service. Requested to speak to kitchen manager and she never came out. Went for brunch and asked for fish and grits instead of shrimp and grits and was told I couldn't get that. I asked for the price of a filet of fish and a dude if grits. once told I ordered that. When I got the bill, I was charged for the most expensive fish item on the menu. 26 dollars for a piece of fish and a side of grits. There were better ways for this to happen. I wasn't informed of the cost prior to receiving the bill. I definitely would not have ordered that. I asked for the kitchen manager, Amy Daigle, she never came out. She instead sent someone else, Miranda, who said there was nothing she could do...... sad.“

“Got the Oxtail meal, beignets, Po boy, char grills oysters (loaded) and had a little of the big back meal… NADIA YOU AINT HAVE NO BUSINESS MAKING ALL THIS FOOD THIS GOOD!!!!! yes I ate everything. The oxtail came with rice, cabbage l, sweet potatoes and Mac n cheese… that cabbage!!!!!!!!! Had me seeing stars! The oxtails!!! Made to perfection. The oysters EVERYTHING was damnnn good. My only regret is I didn’t bring a cooler down to bring food back …. I’ll know for next time. 100000010101010101/10 . Keep following your dreams Nadia I’m so proud of and happy for you!!! Next time I’ll bring a cooler so I can have one of everything (and not have crystal judging me)“
